The demise of the CoD 2 server

This is to give you all a heads up that the old school CoD 2 server will be disappearing in a few weeks. It has been some great times. Call of Duty 2 brought some many good players to TacticalGamer and some are still here. Even though we do not have the players base we once did we still have 6 or 7 great players still involved. Great times folks.

From myself and the admins who have been around with CoD 2 from the beginning I say thanks for the support and great games.

It has been a very good run with some fantastic people. I am going to set up a date for some OLD SCHOOL MADNESS for ole times sake and give CoD 2 a BIG FAREWELL.

It's been a nice run and I have enjoyed it. Met some good folks along the way and will now move on. I will be there for the last ho-raw.

Always wanted to play it, but the copy of the game I got from a buddy doesn't have a CD Key, lol.

Cod2 isn't dead, I own the fastest growing server in all of cod games. And yes, it is tactical! we went from 2,000 something to 82 inles than a year. If you are interestedin gaming tactically with the rules enforced, visit 8.9.127.27:28960. You will have a great time.[DB]Dirtyboy/owner

I can certainly vouch for the DB Tactical Servers. I play their all the time and the server is top notch with rules heavily enforced. Their server is what brought me back to COD2. And when I can no longer tolerate the run and gun public server catastrophes of COD4, BC2 and BF2... that's where you'll find me every time. Great bunch of guys.

I have just finished setting up a linux-based COD2 server for all you "old-timers" (and me!). Be happy to have you guys drop by, we're trying to get the old soggies back on as well as some new folk. The current address is 96.252.50.134 and is listed as |SOG| Tactical2 (There is a |SOG| Tactical as well which we are temporarily renting, but you can pretty much ignore that). The TS server is ts65.gameservers.com, which will eventually transition too. MeAt and Vir2L will be there to greet you! Come on down!

Thanks Dog. Good to hear from you. I will have to check it out and give oyu guys a target. Miss the old school game. It is so much better then Cod 4 and the others of late.

Sweet! We next play Thursday nite (1/27) at 9:00 pm EST. Typically it's Monday's and Thursdays at the same time.

I will try and be there. I work on Thursday and will not get home until late. Seems our CoD 2 server was taken down for some reason. Will be more then happy to join you guys.

had a great time playing on the server..... but it seems I missed you all by like 10 minutes.
But seriously it was great to play CoD2 and bleed out from damage!!!
