SM Priority?
Are we going to allow TG Supporting Member priority on the server? If so, does anyone know if we can script it similar to how BF2's set up? I'm looking at the server makeup now and don't recognize a single name.

Re: SM Priority?
I know you can have reserved passworded slots.

Gonzo, send me a PM on how this passworded slot system works.

Re: SM Priority?
Easily the worst idea anyone's ever come up with, even worse than the holocaust.
Seriously the server never even gets full, I've NEVER seen it get full.

Re: SM Priority?
Then it just wont be used. However, i think earlyer today the server did get to 32, though briefly.

lol Worse than the holocaust is pretty bad.
I've seen it full a few times now. Having the server full of pubbies/TG-noobs won't go far towards building a TG-style server.
This change might not be necessary this early, but having a slot system like BF2 could go a long way toward building a solid server.Beatnik

Re: SM Priority?
I was watching it last night and we had 32 on it for awhile. Only way to find out if the slots are taken up is try the script.

Reseved slots are a good idea.

Re: SM Priority?
I think at least having 2 reserved slots for Admins would be good. Once we have more TG playing COD2, the server is going to be full. 30 slots plus 2 reserved should be fine.

Re: SM Priority?
i completly agree..start out with the admin only spots then start to add more spots when we see who is a regular player...
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: SM Priority?
Admin only spots aren't necessary. Admins can make a spot for themselves whenever they like by kicking a player.

Re: SM Priority?
yah well you may do that in BF2 but not here....lol...whatever works..im sure if we need a spot we can just jump onto the TS and get one
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: SM Priority?
That was the old 'pre-script' method in BF2 - calling the admins on TS to make room. Luckily, that was before I was made an admin. It's hectic enough trying to SL and warn/kick/ban people, I don't know how the admins kept their sanity, having to kick to make room for so many SMs every nite.

Re: SM Priority?
i always felt bad doing that becuase i knew it wasnt easy..but with this small group im sure it wont be a problem for now....
an idea im not sure if its possible to make quasi admins..only limited power so when the real admins are on they can change maps or lock the server or make roomthat sounds like a good idea trooper.
