I guess we will see what happens eh? CoD2 was just a quick port of a console from Activision. They had to represent in the next Console the Xbox360. May be they thought heck let us bring the CoD brand name back up for enough time to get the real games out and they copied the XBOX360 version to PC and released... But bad bad bad PR came along with it.... I mean during the old CoD days the customers were very happy with the support and such......

So they are taking their time on the first patch because man power is concentrated onto these two games, or they are not very serious about CoD2 and they know it was just a quick fix.

I am just guessing out here guys... I like to try to predict what big companies' plans are what they are thinking... lol

Anyway if this rumor about new games are true I am kind of excited to see what they will bring to the table. May be all the promised features and more...

Yeah, IWD & Activision definitely irritated their PC fan base with CoD2. I still wonder if they're ever going to release a patch (let alone the map editor) for this game. And with RO coming out, it may be doubly bad timing for the CoD developers; a lot of disenchanted CoD fans may just decide to embrace RO instead. It'll be interesting!

Yay, more rumors from "reliable inside sources", lol. I would like to point out that there is a group out there spreading all kinds of lies and rumors from "reliable inside sources". One such rumor from a "reliable inside sources" was about the patch going to be delayed a lot longer because of problems integrating PunkBuster. However, an employee of IW put this rumor to rest. The group responsible for these lies is the same group that tried to get every server admin to boycott IW by shutting down their servers for a day. This group is simply causing trouble. I'm pretty sure that IW are hard at work getting the patch ready.

Also, I'm sure IW are planning their next game. Every company plans their next game after they release one. I would like to see the COD gameplay brought to a modern era. I don't think any other games did a great job at it so far. BF2 tried and failed to really own the era.

I cant say it wouldnt surprise me though, 5+ months without any patch or anticheat really makes me anxious to buy the next version
