Welcome! While you're waiting for the server to fill up, you should have a look at our SOP's, which are required reading for all.

Sil3nt's been playing alot recently, and he definitly is a force to be reckoned with. Good teamplayer, always has some useful info..... I prefer to see him on my team, cause I'm tired of catching his lead. =D

Honestly...that is the same way I feel about you...it is never a joy to see that you are on the other team...it just means i have to be extra cautious.

Re: Call of Duty 2 Night (Wednesday)

Good games!

I thought Deux Villes (the huge map) didn't play very well with the smaller group we had when we played it, but I imagine it would be quite interesting in a full 12 vs. 12 match.

For the attackers, that frontal assault across the stream can be brutal. Fortunately, there are great overwatch positions in those buildings on the hill for the sniper. Coordinated smoke is definitely a must here when moving across the open ground up to and just past the stream.

There are some nice side approaches that can be utilized for flanking moves. A good distraction by the attackers at the main approach (the stream) might be enough to draw some defenders away from the flanks, at least to the point where the flanks are penetrable.

I like how Objective B is set right in the middle of that large open square, with buildings surrounding it on all sides. Again, coordinated smoke is necessary for the attackers, but if/once the charge is planted the advantage definitely goes against the team attempting to defuse it.

Overall, Deux Villes seems to have a lot of possibilities, especially for a well organized team. Attackers that just dribble in without coordination will get shredded almost every time. Similarly, defenders that don't cover all the approaches in a coordinated manner will have a very hard time holding their objectives.

Unfortunatly I only get about 10 frames per second when looking across the map. =[ But ya I think the map has alot to offer tactically.
