So I heard a merge

I heard that CoD2/Gun/Cod/Cod-UO have join us on steam, how does that affect you guys? Will it merge the players of CS:S and CoD2? Im just really "stoked" about this, cuz i'd love to play CoD2, but dont wana have to hassle with CD's, maybe going steam will allow me to join u guys. I played the original CoD, but gave it away for some cable+5 bucks... lol Anyway, i loved it and want to try CoD2, but never got around to picking it up. Now I just might.

Searched for CoD2+Call+Duty+Steam to try to save a kitten, hope i didnt kill any.

That would be good if it brings more people. CoD2 is great fun at TG and is definitely worth a purchase!

Re: So I heard a merge

may be a rather lame question but, when are your normal played times? also is it fairly populated over here in CoD2?

Wednesdays and Sundays

I've yet to make it to a sunday meet, but I hear its usually a nice turn out. As for Wednesday, last night alone we had (I'm pretty sure) over 10 people for quite a while. While that may not seem like a lot, rest assured this ISN'T a Battlefield game, more players don't mean more fun.

Talking Re: So I heard a merge

I'll second that. This game is fun with just a few players, but more fun with more.

Re: So I heard a merge

We had 9v9 for a solid hour last night, thanks to clans like SOG and ETS showing up. Considering that the max we host is 12v12, that's almost a full server and made for some very intense games.

As Clod said, this isn't a Battlefield type game at all (at least, not with our mod). It also isn't like vanilla CoD2 with our mod, so the gameplay is its own animal.

Re: So I heard a merge

I don't see why it wouldn't, I mean, X3 on STEAM is no different than the CD version and I'm able to mod it You should be fine, besides, mods like ours are server side and downloaded directly as you connect. Has no effect on the gameplay anywhere but on TG.

Yeah, RO is the same way. You can mod the Steam version and/or the retail version that you buy in a store, yet everyone can play on the same servers. CoD2 should be the same way.
