Tactical Servers ?
Hey all,
Been mucking about with COD2 this afternoon while watching the NFL. I decided to look for servers with tactical in their name because, well, you know why.
I played on a couple of different servers over the course of an hour or two. They called themselves tactical but they really weren't. Oh they were careful to warn about running and gunning and also using iron sights but the thing lacking was solid communication skills. Nobody on the team talked to each other and every player went his own way, lone wolfing it really.
At each server I suggested we form up into teams and follow a plan instead of rushing out of the spawn. A couple of guys said yeah, lets do it, but in no way did it happen effectively. It really felt like twitch skills were far more important than sound tactics.
I think this is where our server is really set apart from other "tactical" servers. We just about always work together as a team effectively and play the objective not the score.
I'm not going to name the servers...what good would that do. I don't want to alienate any of those guys that play there in case they find our server.
I guess I just wanted to say that I am very proud of where we are at--the players, the attitudes and the tactics...all excel.|TG-1st|Grunt

agreed... Ive noticed the majority of the "tactical" servers dont have alot of communication going, alot of them only play TDM, not to mention the crouch rule.
I'm glad we have the following that we have here so the crouch rule isn't necessary.Vir-Chew-All!!

I have done the same thing. Other servers do not give one the tactical play that we here at TG have. Our members have always excelled in the fact that we work as a team to accomplish the objective. That is what makes us unique.

I used to RUN a tactical server :P Let me tell you, it's no easy task. Our boys at TG (admins and the folk responsible for the modding) are doing one helluva job. Not only that, but our members too, the folks that just join in to game play with our mindset, so automatically the community deserves a big kudos aswell.

lol. That would be funny Root.
They actually force you to be in the crouched position always to decrease game speed. (I think you are permitted to run from gunfire or grenades). I can see why they made that rule but I've never experienced it so I can't tell if it's worth while.
I imagine with a bit of coordination we acheive the disired effect of this rule without having to implement it.

yeah ive seen that in many servers as well
the thing that really gets me is when i am on a server and no one is talking and i try to lead and give out commands and someone in the clan who owns the server says to me "stop being bossy" i just dont get it

yup but other servers never listen. the only time i found myself working completely as a team with other players was the other day on our server, everyone worked great together it was fantastic

Welcome to TG parr()t!
I don't mind the crouch rule, as long as everyone else is doing it. =P Infact, every now and then I find myself telling people on your server to crouch, lol.
I will admit that the crouch rule helps out alot with the respawn gametypes, but for SD it's not logical IMO. Which is pretty much the only gametype you'll find on the TacticalGamer.com server. CoD2 needs more no respawn gametypes.
