Re: CoD2 Night, Every Sunday
yah it was "prey" and "custom". But anyways, me, brennus, custom, and prey on V2 were ownage squad. Are tactics worked out really good, and it took a while for the other team to start countering well.

Thanks for the correction Hybrid, I feel like an idiot. It seems that, the older I get, the more I forget, and *new* names are becoming the first to go...
Anyway, I'll see you guys tomorrow night.

Re: CoD2 Night, Every Sunday
No apology necessary Brennus but thanks for the thought....If you've been playing over at the 82nd for a while maybe you can find a way to give a shout out about the TG COD2 server.
I respectfully disagree with your assessment that gameplay is the same on the 82nd server. I've played there several times over the last few months. Each time I've been on I did not experience the level of communication we usually attain on the TG server...Is that becuase we have far fewer players and it's a lot easier to communicate?...Maybe...I've tried to be proactive on the 82nd server-- by throwing out something like "hey, lets form fireteams and strategize before moving out", at the beginning of the rounds. The response has uniformly been half hearted and un heeded. What I see on the 82nd server is a bunch of talented and well behaved players that are mostly lonewolfing it. While it is a popular and well run server I don't think it offers the tactical possibilities of TG's COD2 server.|TG-1st|Grunt

Re: CoD2 Night, Every Sunday
There are all these other "tactical" servers, yet the majority of the time I play on them it's a slow paced lone wolf game. Definitly more to tactics then announcing enemy positions. And there's definitly more to it than just saying you're a tactical server.
The key to TG is, we actually implement tactics the majority of the time, instead of just saying we do, like the majority of tactical servers.Vir-Chew-All!!

Re: CoD2 Night, Every Sunday
You are right about the small team tactics. Unless you are on teamspeak with the 82nd, there isn't going to be fireteams or any other form of complex communication, but It's still the best tactical *public* server out there! TG really is in a league of it's own in that regard, where tactics and communication ARE the game, rather than scores and all that jazz. unfortunately, that's probably why the TG server is empty for most of the time, because we are a very small minority, and joe public wants nothing to do with SoP's and RoE's...
Oh, and I have ALWAYS spread the word on Tactical Gamer! I even still wear the tags, just so when people ask me about them, I can explain it to them. There are quite a few 82nd members and 82nd regulars who have moved over to the BF2 server because of my tags...

Re: CoD2 Night, Every Sunday
What is the big change to Mirage? I am checking it out now and I do not see any difference.
