Couldn't load Default.cfg?
I know this is a pretty common issue...but the problem is, I'm running it off of steam. I've uninstalled and re-installed so many times. I've tried clearing it completely out of the registry...still no luck.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Re: Couldn't load Default.cfg?
Do you have the disks or just loading it off of Steam? If you have disks loaded it that way. You won't be able to play without the default.cfg

Re: Couldn't load Default.cfg?
Unfortunately...I'm only trying to load it off of Steam. I'm trying to find a place where I can get the files I'm missing. I looked on another forum and the person said Activision wouldn't do anything about some of his files missing.
I'm probably breaking a rule here, but if anybody knows a place where I can get some legitimate CoD files...that's be nice.
This is probably the last time I get a game like this off of Steam...I bought the whole package (CoD, CoD2, CoDUO) and none of them are working. I like Steam and all..but...=(

So wait..... they are selling you a game that doesn't have all the stock files?
I'm not one to sue, but I'd definitly call a lawyer.
Sounds like a lawsuit to me.Vir-Chew-All!!

Re: Couldn't load Default.cfg?
Yeah basically. I mean, everytime I re-install the game I have to download the files from them all over again, so I'm pretty sure it isn't something I'M doing wrong.
