COD2 on a Mac?
I got COD2 installed on my Mac
I'm having a great time in single-player but as always I wish to venture into the online scene. As always it's a totally different game and I don't want to get up to speed on tactics and game play with just anybody, I wanna play with you guys
...Unfortunately I try adding the server to my favorites and it doesn't show up :/ I browse thru the main browser but don't see your server. Was there an update? I'm running 1.0, I've allowed downloads and everything, checked and double checked the IP address. I don't know what to do
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
For some reason the favorites on CoD2 works sometimes and not other times. If you have X-Fire you can log on that way. Also with X-Fire you can save the server to your favorites.
I am azsons on X-Fire, add me.

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
Sorry I looked over all the stickies real quickly and I guess I looked over them too fast
Hopefully now it will work!
I've looked and haven't found any X-Fire clients for the Macintosh, first party or otherwise
If you find any let me know though
I look forward to taking cover under relentless fire :P

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
I spoke with Vir2l who also plays CoD2 with a make and he said you should take a look at this site:
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/22289
he isn't sure if they still support it, but that's what he uses.~Bar Extraordinaire~

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
Great to see another mac user in the TG ranks.
The link Fannon gave you for XBlaze should work fine... i did notice when I installed the latest Adium, it didn't work... but there might be a newer version of Adium since then. I use version 1.0b15.
It recognizes most games, some it doesnt support...... and don't expect it to do half the features that the real x-fire does.
I had to edit the macgames.txt so it would show when I was in-game for CoD2. It wasn't recognizing it.
If you have any other mac related questions regarding CoD2 or X-Blaze, just ask. =DVir-Chew-All!!

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
Yah it crashes and doesn't work
I don't see why the X-fire team just doesn't make a Mac OS version of it. It's not terrible hard :/
Thanks anyways, I'll wait for a better solution or better yet make one myself XP,

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
Thats funny, cause it works on my system..... every once in a while it will cause Adium to crash when i try opening it, but if I relaunch it another time, it works like a charm.
Like I said the latest version of Adium probably doesn't support it, so that's maybe why it's not working for you.Vir-Chew-All!!

Re: COD2 on a Mac?
Yah it seems like a hassle anyways
Hopefully I'll try to get a hold on the x-fire lib and make a simple application around it
Although I wouldn't hold my breath
