Through the Ages. Bloodlines.v2
Hello all. I have never played CoD 2 with TG, but I used to play it about a year ago with a group called the 509th, who I have had ties with since 2004.
I write here because I have recently come across a site made by someone who I knew from a while back, created to trace the evolution of tactical gaming. It primarily draws from clans who emerged in MoH:AA and CoD and CoD 2, so I have posted it here. The project was launched several years ago in 2004, but this is the newest revision. Titled the bloodlines project, it traces Tac clans as they tumble through history.
Far from the organization of TG, tactical gaming exists outside of this community as a mostly rag-tag bunch of isolated clans playing in small ladders, but all usually possessing direct blood-ties to each other. The idea proposed by Zen of Tactical History Society is that all of these clans are tied to each other, with members leaving to form new groups and so the tactical gaming community evolves, so on and so forth.
This is a presentation of the evolution of tactical gaming in the WWII shooter theatre, and the countless hours put into interviews and fact-finding by Zen really show up in this interesting piece of history, and I hope some of you will enjoy it. Maybe it is just me being sentimental, but given the fragmented nature of the tactical world outside of TG, it is a miracle this information survived and is being recorded. If any of you have existed as a tactical player outside of TG, I'm sure you will understand.
These clans are accepted by many and most likely debated by far more as the rise of tactical gaming as we know today. Regardless of whether you agree with the above statement, or place your bets on games like Ghost Recon/Rogue Spear, there is no doubt in my mind that a significant amount of tactical clans playing today have descended from this bunch.
You will find the bloodlines project available for download in the downloads section of The Tactical Historic Society.
I was once known as Stock, and my interview is in there under the 509th section of Clan Data.
Here is a screen shot of the newest version of the family tree by the Bloodlines project.

Anyways, even if you have no connection to these communities it is an interesting read nonetheless. I realize the data is somewhat fragmented, but the meat and potatoes are in the clan data document, and I strongly encourage anyone involved with any of these communities to sit down and sift through these pages. chances are, you will recognize someone.

Mmm, I don't guess I come from the bloodline
. I left from a group known as "TF" Tactical Fighters, and formed my own clan, or really squad, and were called the "TC" Tactical Commando's - Back then I was known as Ganon. Hey, my name evolved from Ganon to Fannon! ... anyways. heh, doesn't look like I come from the bloodline... I must be an in-law.

Yea there are bound to be others, this is just one branch in the tree of tactical. But since your an in-law, I guess I'm required to dislike you.
