TG has a COD4 server up 70.84.146.204:28960 (thank you supermasters of the TG universe).
To connect, I recommend these two options:

1) setup your desktop shortcut to hit the TG server (why would you play anywhere else?)
Right click the COD4 multiplayer shortcut on your pc and select properties.
In the target field, *after* the shortcut, paste in +connect 70.84.146.204:28960

This is what mine looks like:
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +connect 70.84.146.204:28960

2) once in game, hit ~ (called 'tilde', it is to the left of the number 1 key, above the tab key)
type connect 70.84.146.204:28960 and hit enter - that's it!

one small point to add

first you have to enable the consule, while in the game menus
options / game options / enable consule = yes

I went and "Create shortcut" of the original shortcut, added the "+connect 70.84.146.204:28960"(remember to add a space before the plus sign), renamed it "COD4 at TG "... So I still have the original shortcut also.

AND, if you go and change your Images file, like I posted in this thread, it literally goes BAM, "setting up game".. Loads map, and asks which team you want in under ten seconds.
