Re: Punkbuster?
I posted this on another link here earlier, hope this helps.
Hello all. I bought Cod4 online via Steam. I found out I had to shut Steam down and run the game with C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty 4\iw3mp.exe (multiplayer). After that Punkbuster gave me no problem. This was for "RESTRICTION: Unknown Windows API Function [131133]" kick. 131136 as well, came ones up. Hope this helps. |

Re: Punkbuster?
ANY ideas are welcome:
COD4 PB error message: PunkBuster kicked player ‘xxxx’ (for 0 minutes)…RESTRICTION:Sevice Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe driver failure (PnkBstrK.sys) ffab I have uninstalled and reinstall PB, manually updated with NO effects. I only use AVG, and have tried turning that off…no affect. The only fix is to reboot the computer…sometimes 4 to 6 times…not fun. |

Re: Punkbuster?
You could try to update pb in Safe mode with networking. Or,Try uninstalling AVG. I use it, and after one update it wouldn't let me play BF2. It kept dumping a PB file into the Virus vault. A couple days later AVG updated and fixed the issue.
