I bought my copy via Steam. It auto-updates. Not sure if this can be toggled on/off but it definitely didn't ask me first.

The server at this time is not accepting the patch. As soon as the servers have been patched I will post. Sorry

Yes you can actually do this on steam.
If you right click on your game in the games tab. There should be an option to toggle "Keep game updates automatically" or " Self Update Game".

I'm looking forward to the acog scope not sucking anymore though. I'll have to get some playtime in this weekend and see what its like.

Have the servers been updated yet? I was looking on gametracker and it still has 1.2 for the version.

nope. Bubba is having an issue with it. So until he posts otherwise, they arent updated.

Something along the lines of the patch isnt seeing the server files.

I noticed they had a .zip with the changed files. I believe all he has to do is unzip the files to the correct places, no need to run the patch. I could get all the details if he needs me to do so. It's available on the IW forums.

Could always just manually copy the new iw3mp.exe file to the server. Here's a zip containing all the new files:

thats how the server is setup now. he just copied over his game file to the servers, both. And so its not really an install.

Zoopy, yea, that's all he needs to do is extract the files in that zip and cycle the servers. Maybe they'll be updated tonight as I installed 1.3 right before I went to bed last night.

This looks like it will be a weekend of confusion and frustration for players. I will hold off until I know TG is 1.3.

I first downloaded the patch from www.callofduty.filefront.com and it didn't see the game, so I tried infinity ward link in the "Patch 1.3 Released" topic and it worked. Just a thought.
