TRM USER Readme and Trouble Shooting Guide
TRM User Read Me
*This mod is intended to provide a more realistic, immersive game experience and to promote tactical gameplay. So what does this mod provide over the stock Harcore? Well in a configured setting this will provide for a balanced weapon setting. The hope is that issues found in Hardcore will find either a correction or a balance in this mod. Specifically relating to the non existence of a compass, weapon status, ammo status and an idea of the damage you have taken aka a healthbar. Also, the ability to run user generated maps. Maps like mp_Krutzenfeig would never get any game time on a “stock ranked” server. Ok, you got a couple of minutes speak to me… What are the downsides? Well you will run into some new features. Features?! How are features bad.. features are supposed to be good. Point of view plays a factor on these features. What has been introduced is a bleeding/bandage system. Another feature is the ability for your weapon to jam. Weapons don’t “JAM” anymore!! Noob! This feature is configurable from a 1:0 chance to a than 1: ∞ Currently this feature is set to 1:300 When can this “Jam “ occur? Basically, anytime during a map. It may be your first shot or your last shot on the map. Ok , what do I do to fix this? Well the “Magic Key” a.k.a. “USE” key which is commonly mapped to “F”. Allows you access to various functions. The first time you hit the “USE” key the option is to bandage. The second time you hit the “USE” key. The option is to unjam your weapon. When you find the option that you want. You release the “USE” key followed by pressing and holding the “USE” key while the option is still displayed. You don’t release until the desired action is completed. So you are now bleeding like a sieve. What you need to do is hit your "Use" Key. Normally the "F" key once. Then hit and hold "F" again to start bandaging. The time to bandage is relative to the amount of damage you have taken. Quote:

Ok, what else.. I mean what about them early nades? Hey, great question! There is a feature that disabled nades and all explosives for a set time. There are some issues with the C4, RPG's and claymores. If you try to use any of these before the timeout allows you. Currently you can lose these for the round. AFK players can now be monitered and either moved to spectate or removed from the server.[ WOAH! That's lame!!!!! Now perhaps it's the most ideal situation. But this has been partially addressed with the next version. Explosives are still disabled for the timeout but you can plant claymores without losing them for the round. Hey now that reminds me claymores are currently set to FF=ON. So please coordinate with your team on where you are planting them. So a teammate is not killed by an explosive device that they are not aware of. Change Notes Version 1.0: • Explosives will not cause any damage until 20 seconds after spawn. • AFK monitor, player automatically die if not moving 20 seconds after spawn • TK monitor, excessive TK will kill the player by suicide • Penalty, option for Admin to kill a player by remote suicide • Bleeding is added when hit, player is forced to hide, bandage or bleed out. • Gun Jam, guns can randomly jam and need to be unjammed. • Removed notification that a player is killed. Only visible for killed player. • Added info for killed player, shows attacker, weapon, range and body hits • Option for ceasefire. • Claymores no longer safe for own team. • General sway has been added to all weapons depending on size and weight of the weapon • Movement bob has been added to all of the weapons according to size, and weight. • ADSIdle has been adjusted to add difficulty and realism to shooting. Weapons now idle around much like the sniper rifles when you ADS. • Zoom has been removed from weapons with silencers, irons and reflex sights. • Zoom has been reduced on ACOG scopes slightly • Movement speeds have been reduced while ADS for the SMG’s, shotguns and pistols. Currently they still move faster than other weapons. • Movement speeds have been reduced to equal aiming down the sights when using the grenade launcher. This is to reflect the user aiming with his sights. • Movement speeds have been adjusted for the RPG. Players will now run slower with it drawn and move even slower when it’s in ADS. • The rate of fire has been reduced for the pistols. The Desert Eagle shoots the slowest. • Grenade power has been reduced to fit player max health of 50. The radius has been increased so players who are not skilled can still damage the enemy. • Grenade throw distance has been reduced to compensate for small maps. Only visible for killed player. • Added info for killed player, shows attacker, weapon, range and body hits • Option for ceasefire. • Claymores no longer safe for own team. • Can not shoot while jumping • Damage is controlled from config if run and gun (default 0) • Regular damage can be controlled from config • Player will drop weapon if arm or hand is hit • Player can choose to discard weapon TRM 1.5 - Gametypes supported: sd, war, koth, dm, sab, dom - TRM info, server clan info, ts info added in in game menu - turn on off gameicons, claymore teamicons, make claymores friendly or unfriendly - Players will drop to crouch for 1 second if shot in leg - changed cod logo on first screen Features that can be used even in Hardcore mode. - Turn on/off Dogtags - Ability to show the stance of the player - The hints to reload and hit this Button to enable an action can be disabled. - Minimap and compass can be turned on/off - Scorebars can be enabled on the bottom of the screen even in Hardcore. - Weapon info such as ammo count and amount of nades you carry fade in and out when reloading - Show inventory for nightvision, claymores, RPGs, Grenade Launchers, airstrikes, choppers and UAVs - Weapons status fades in and out when firing. - The ability to show you are talking is enabled in Hardcore mode. - The ability to see who is talking to you is shown on the minimap. - Claymores can be designated to show players team icon. Only shows to team mates of the claymore planter. - Show teammates on the mini map. - The ability to see the red dot of the enemy firing on the minimap has been added even in Hardcore mode. Below is what is added/changed in v1.6 testrelease1 Fixed damagesettings that was too sensitive in 1.5 New settings: 50 = normal, 100 = 1 shot 1 kill Added bombzone selection, chose a or b or both or random Bomb icons (defend, bomb etc) can be removed Compass can be shown without minimap Scores can be set not be updated until end of round ctf, ctfb, htf from AWE4 by Tally added Fixed teamkill issue in DM Bandagetime is now based on severity of your damage Clan vs rewritten New stockfiles used Bugfixes Possible to use rank system. Custom server logo can be added to use in game. Bug Fixes M16 rng fix for 3 round burst. Fixed missing perks. Fixed nade assignment (3 frag perk added) Fixed bug for overload of nades Found bug forcing spectate Bugs The auxiliary weapon systems are known to be disabled if used before the 20 seconds no explosive count. This includes claymores, RPG’s and C4 and I believe 203 launchers. Choppers lag the server to a major extent and may cause a server crash. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TROUBLESHOOTING ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// User Issue 1: Download Loop This isssue has yet to be tracked down. For now the .iwd file for the specific map in question. Can be placed in the mod folder for CoD4. The mod folder run on TG CoD4 servers is named "tgtrm1.7". Example: C:/ProgramFiles/Activision/Call Of Duty 4/mods/tgtrm1.7 Placing the .iwd file in the mod folder is a stopgap while we track down this issue. Note you may experience some charachter models to change colors from Black to Yellow when you get close to them. This is specifically the result of having the mp_pripyat.iwd in the mod folder. Because the creator of pripyat has a custom skin for the Radiation Suit. User Issue 2:CL_CGameNeedsServerCommand: A reliable command was cycled out. This is THE most common error you will receive with any custom server running CoD4. The only way to fix this is for IW to patch the game. Unfortunately, this seems less likely with each new patch. A simple workaround is to hit your console/tildekey "~" on the top left of your keyboard under the escape button and type: /reconnect. This will automatically reconnect you to the server you just got disconnected from.
