Shrink objective icons on your screen.
Here is the console command:
/waypointIconHeight "36" /waypointIconWidth "36" I set mine to 10. I love it.

Re: Shrink objective icons on your screen.
You can also add them to your shortcut using +set waypointIconWidth # and +set waypointIconHeight #.
example: Target: "C:\Program Files\Games\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set waypointIconWidth 16 +set waypointIconHeight 16 |

Re: Shrink objective icons on your screen.
Can't you add them to your config_mp file which is located here?
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\yourname

Re: Shrink objective icons on your screen.
Ref the Icon size I did this and it works fine for me, old eyes mean I set mine to 16 though.
If you write in console /seta waypointIconWidth 16 and then /seta waypointIconHeight 16, they automaticly went into the MP config. Otherwise, your best bet is to start the game normally (not joining any server), write the commands in, then exit the game. That way they save themselves, does not seem to work when you join a game through X-fire and such.

Re: Shrink objective icons on your screen.
Ok! This is what worked for me. I'm running Windows Vista Business Edition with CoD4 patched to 1.5 - of course.
Start CoD4. Pull up console (shift + tilde). Enter the following commands: /seta waypointIconWidth 16 /seta waypointIconHeight 16 Join a server! Quitting without joining a server didn't save the configuration changes. Joining a server and then entering the commands will also save the configuration changes. This leads me to believe that the configuration is only checked for changes and written during the process of joining or leaving a server and possibly ingame. The /seta (setalways?) command is crucial. Without it, it will not permanently save the changes. Another anomaly that I noticed was that now I can change my ingame tag and use spaces. Due to the 1.5 update? Before all of this, the space key wouldn't register for whatever reason so I manually edited the config_mp.cfg file when I first got the game to accomplish this. Does anyone know if all of this due to the 1.5 update or the different OS (XP vs Vista)? Perhaps the Vista install handles the configuration differently. I can't remember where the profile info was originally located in the XP install. Some games store the player specific info in the My Documents folder in XP. |
