Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
Since the issues have been ironed out on the map lockups on the server , do we want to go back to include other gametypes.
ie: SAB, HQ.

Chastises Barnaby for not actually voting

I voted for S&D only. I could see Sabotage, but only if the "KILL" icon went bye bye, no way in heck that's tactical :PContact Me ~ CoD Contact an Admin Forum ~ CoD Rules & SOPs

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
I voted for both. I agree with KD but I also think it adds a bit of tactical challenge for defenders to set up linear ambushes to stop the bomb carrier. Kinda like the white car in Black Hawk Down when they were waiting to move in to capture/kill Adid. They had intel but it really wasnt so good but they still went for it and you all know how that ended.
It makes for good play and is a nice change of pace from S&D.
Thats why I voted for both.

Didn't we try this once.....

The hungry, ignorant man immediately grasps that he is handed a fish, but is bewildered when handed a net. The man who shivers in the cold thinks happily of the man who invites him to sit by his fire, and somewhat poorly of the man who loans him an axe, flint and steel.

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
i had choose SAB because it is kinda like S&D but it has the problem with the kill thingy. if the kill thingy wasn't there you it would be good

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
There can be no mods for Server1 so I'm partial to S&D only.

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
I voted to add the other two modes, but under certain conditions:
1. That the SAB "kill" icon be removed.
2. These two modes occur infrequently (1 in 4?)
This is just to mix it up a little. However, my concern is that those who only like S&D will dessert server 1 and only play on server 2.|TG|MeleeClear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
I voted to add sabatoge. It's similar to SD but a nice little change. The one caveat I would like though is that it isn't common, say every 4th or 5th map is Sabatoge. Possibly enable the map vote again so people can change it if they feel like it? Not a fan of HQ at all!!!!
I would imagine as Size pointed out that removing the kill indicator would make the server un ranked. It's really not that big of deal for me. If you have team working together to defend the bomb carrier its not much of an advantage. Plus you can use it to set up ambushes.
I think they won an Oscar or Academy award? Does that mean there will be red carpets rolled out every time we play Sab? Damn that would be great

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
About a month ago, maybe more, server 2 was changed to the moded server and server one was made to be AWE mod then was changed to hardcore.. sab, hq and S&D. There was a large player up roar about the change that was made. But in the end server 1 was made to be S&D hardcore and server 2 was TRM and things quieted back done. Last thread was when server 1 was made to vanilla hardcore S&D again.

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
I won't argue. I took the other game types off when the map loading locked up. You can not see the admin forums.

Re: Server 1 (Hardcore) Gametypes
I had seen on a site(can't rember where now) that showed the activity levels of CoD4 servers. TG did not have much activity on their servers compared to a lot of others. Anyway, the other server I play on a lot is hardcore TDM, that server is active 24/7 with an average of at least 10-15 people on the off hours in the wee hours of the morning. Since TG had 2 servers going I had thought that maybe one could be hardcore TDM. I know hardcore TDM has nothing to do with strategy or tactics(not the way most people play) but if TG is interested in attracting attention to the other server maybe that hardcore TDM server would do it. One server being active a lot would be better than both servers being dead all the time.
EDIT:
http://www.gametracker.com/server_in....97.201:28960/ was the site I seen the activity levels on. Was going to show activity for another server that was hardcore TDM but thought against that. Click on the monthly activity and see how well the server is doing. It has some bad drop offs.
