CoD4 V1.6 patch

Help! I've downloaded the patch from three different places and get the same message on each attempt to install. Need a digital download compatible patch, vendor site doesn't show a 1.6 patch although I down loaded one from D2D where I originally downloaded the game and nada.
Any suggestions?

Nope - sorry.
I have a boxed version and the link I posted in my 1.6 now forum post worked for me.
Whether it will work for a digi down load I don't know but at least I can confirm the link works.

That link is for a D2D patching problem, be warned it also requires you to fiddle with your registry bits so CARE please.

Okay, went back to D2D as soon as I got in from work and they have the Digital Distribution patch. Downloading now will let you know how it goes.

i downloaded from one of the links in Barnaby's post, it was a "free" site, and I got 1500-1600K on the thing..took like 3-4 minutes, and only had to wait 5 or 6 minutes in "line" to download...

I sure love my 15-meg cable! hahahahah
