KillDaddy, how long did it take IW to develop COD4? I hope it's not another 2 years until we see IW's next iteration.
Good point. This may just be a cash grab to fully exploit COD4 popularity? I can't blame them really, it's like mods extend the life of a game by years over the vanilla versions, this may just be a mod to extend its life a bit?

Oh, whaaa!!!!...

Come on guys. We have had one "OK" Pacific theater shooter in MOH, other than that it is always shootin Nazi bastards. Good maps and good game play trump technology any day.

Grab your M1 Garand, a few MK II's and head for the jungle.

Count me in as looking forward to this one.

Re: call of duty 5 announced...

im hoping maybe, that they put more effort into building maps that people would want to play more than IW, these new maps pretty much disappoint me except for broadcast, need to spend more time on making the map right and not so much on the ambiance behind the scenes

idk, cod5 seems like it will be fun, i have never played a WWII game on computer, so i have no bias/unbiased position on that point in fact.

Actually the problem that I see isnt that theres a million overkilled WW2 games, its more like nobody has made a GOOD WW2 game in a while. Most of it is the same crap you get used to in FPS games (which is basically saying that theres a lot of trash out there for FPS games in general). If this game tells a good story and has great gameplay (not counting co-op stuff), then it might be good even though its more nazi bashing.

Re: call of duty 5 announced...

No ammo ressuply but higher ammo count would rock. Im not sure what the standard ammo count for a soldier was back then but today the standard loadout for a rifleman is 210 in the US.

And for once I would like to play the side of the axis in a campaign. I know they're bad but I was educated differently about the whole war lol. Theres two sides to every story =D.
