Re: Gunners new rig
the 280 supposedly can barely compete with the 4870, and at the price for it that's unexcusable.
Gunner paid 260 for his 4870.Contact Me ~ CoD Contact an Admin Forum ~ CoD Rules & SOPs

Re: Gunners new rig
yes , the lowest i have seen my fps so far is in downpour over by the silos where all the grass is, it dropped down to like 68 or something like that. I would say about 90 percent of the time my fps is usually around 100 -130.
I was reading the post on Lagging when an airstrike hits, fortunately, i dont have that issue now that i am on my pc instead of kdaddys.
I LOVE THIS RIG

Re: Gunners new rig
gunner....i seem to be at a loss? you said around 100 frames in game? with 2 of those cards you should be screaming dude. my 8800 gt single card 90% of the time is pulling 150....at the least its 145 and spikes to 168 on some maps.......is it cuz of your big TV/monitor? I am only asking in case some tweaking needs to be done on your rig....and a sweet rig it is.
never mind....i seen u run only one card....I am a tard at times

Re: Gunners new rig
Big monitor would affect it some i would think. When i had my old 20" tube monitor i was like high 70's and on my 26" im like low 50's or worse sometimes. That and my card is pretty old, so is my system in general.

Re: Gunners new rig
Guys, that 70's i mentioned before is the lowest, it averages an fps of around 160 - 170.
When it dropped into the 70's it was while i was laying in the grass on downpour surrounded by smoke, with an airstrike going off immediately to my left and a grenade to my right. LOL It was awesome that i survived it but when i looked at the fps in the corner of my screen it blew me away.
I thought man , if i was on Kdaddys machine right now , i wouldnt be able to even move for like 3 or 4 seconds.
I didnt have everything tweaked yet when i mentioned the 100 - 130 in my previous post.

Holy Cow! I want that monitor! Jebus that is a nice setup ya got there. very nice..
one thing.. doesnt sitting on the couch and using the cushion for a mouse pad cause some problems? i mean comfortably it doesnt look to good for actual playing, but maybe you are just that comfortable playing like that... anyways.. i'm jealous now and i'm gonna go drown myself in my wittle bitty 17in CRT monitor...

Oh my god, that screen is bigger than I thought.
