In Game Problem
Hey guys..
I know i've asked this before and i've still never been able to get rid of the problem.
Every time an Airstrike comes down i lag like hell every time. Kinda annoying. Anyone have any idea on what i should do or can do to fix this?
my comp isnt too bad i mean its getting constant 60-100 FPS depending on the map and players and all.
I have in my comp as follows.
Intel Pentium D 805 Smithfield 2.66 ghz (oc'd to 3.1ghz)
2 Gig DDR2
Plenty of HD space 250gb 7200 rpm
BFG Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT-OC
On board sound, now used to use a SB Live, but I still had the same problem with that.
even my ping is usualy between 40-70
Any suggestions Would help.. Oh yeah I run my settings at normal on everything, spec map is off, glow is off, anything and everything i can find to turn off is off even shadows, which i wish i could turn on cause they are so useful......

Re: In Game Problem
I get that occassionally...my fps in smoke drops to like 28 fps from 91.
Does the lag cause the "connection" to pop up on your screen or does it just turn into a power point slide show when the AS hits??
When's the last time you cleaned up your hardrive and defrag'd it!

Re: In Game Problem
Seems to me that your vid card is border line for this game. Its ultimate low, actually i think that is the lowest you can have it. And your Pentium D isnt slow, but old. It may just be struggling.

Re: In Game Problem
1.) Restart your PC daily or shut it off when your not using it at night.
2.) Post your graphic and texture settings.
3.) Like best said reinstall if no other fix has been stated.
your comp can handle an air strike i have a 1.80GHz processor and 8400gs 1gig of ram lol. however your card is borderline like joe said as a matter of fact is recommended you use a 7200+. Ill check on newegg and other places for ya and send it your way if i find a great deal.Sorry I only play Hardcore!

Re: In Game Problem
I'm having the exact same problem, when an airstrike happens near me my FPS drops to an incredibly low number. The weird thing is that when I first bought the game this never happened, but a couple of months ago it started. I have no idea what could have caused this as I have made no real changes between when it wasn't happening and when it started.

Re: In Game Problem
It's probably the video card. I have a 7800GT I'm willing to part with cheap if you're interested.
