Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
im not really liking the kill cam but really just cause you think that nade he threw looked blind you might have been called out by someone else so if you think you were killed by a blind nade just ask "how you know I was there?" instead of reacting and accusing people. But I really could careless about the kill cam but if I had to choose yes or no on having it I would pick NO.

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
I have some pretty sweet hiding spots that are almost literally untouchable because of the distance and inability to pick out one pixel from a mess of them. And i've never seen anyone else use them :P

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
I like the kill cam being on personaly, it lets me see how I died, sometimes people get some really nice shots and its just beautiful. ie on Bloc a little while ago 4 of us ran down the b side to plant the bomb, well we werent in good cover so unfortantly a sniper peeked over the staircase next to the b bomb and picked every one of us off, it was beautiful. Also it really lets us see if someone had a legit shot on us or if there is any possiable way that they might be wallhackin, or using something else that allows them to see us, when they shouldnt be able to ie. in grass using a gilly suit. But anyways i like the killcam being on I for one hope it stays that way

I like it because you can learn from your mistakes. For example, your running in the open and get picked off. Next time your gonna know to throw smoke or go a different route.

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
I agree WHOLE HEARTEDLY, Killcam is an awesome learning tool for those of us that arent that great yet.
Seems to me that the ones that dont want the KillCam on are those that are trying to hide something. It is an amazing tool in the fight against BLIND NADES, etc.
I say leave it on and let some folks get some education on where we have been being shot from when all we can say at the end is HOW THE HELL???

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
I go for no kill kam.
I know all probably [well except Gunner :¬)] know the map hide & shoot spots so why the need for confimation.
gijoe ..... you really need to see that because you ran out in the open you got shot so you had better throw smoke or creep the next time.
Could it be it's those that want to rush and not go tactically checking their corners that want kill kam on.
For most part our servers are not re-spawn so why bother, why think it was an unfair shot, let the admins and pb do their business.
Personally I would rather be sure and fire into a dark corner with my silenced G3 than risk moving past it and die.
That makes me wonder, how many of those wanting kill kam on use a single shot weapon.
I'll wager most are MG'ers.
Anyway I digress.

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
Best tip....
Scan a sector and dont move. Shoot anything that moves and then continue to scan. If after a few minutes nothing then move to a new location. And then repeat the previous tactic.
Killcam will stay on for a period yet to be determined. It adds a new air to the down time and also allows for each player to work on not doing the same thing that got them killed in the future.
But watch how often you call foul because the kill cam doesnt show the entire time line leading to the actual kill. A grenade you witness in killcam may look to be a blind nade but in all actuality UAV could be up or the 1-2secs that isnt replayed on killcam could be the time that they saw you or someone called you as a contact.

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
I think the "timeline" is all relative to latency and ping. For example, I saw virtually no "lag" or discrepancy on the killcams that I was seeing, in part I think, because my ping is really pretty good..
Now if a guy that was in the 200's shot me, then I am not sure what I would see..maybe it is all relative to the server side and not client-side..I guess that makes more sense..

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
Also I think kill kam gives a skewed view with smoke too.
Hazzy says >>> Scan a sector and dont move. Shoot anything that moves and then continue to scan. If after a few minutes nothing then move to a new location. And then repeat the previous tactic. that is the best thing everyone could do as it would make the game play that much more realistic."I like a man who grins when he fights"

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
I am starting to learn that slowly, lol. I seem to be doing a little better than i was before. I have been going on during the day also when nobody else is on and checking out each map from every angle possible with a sniper rifle just to see what can be seen from all different vantage points.
I LOVE it when everyone slows down and tries to work as a team to get the objective planted and defended. I think that is why I die so quickly on the faster maps. I am used to moving slow and checking every angle before i get into a situation, part of that law enforcement training, but even on this 42in screen I am still having trouble seeing people right in front of me and I cant figure out why. I tried adjusting my brightness settings last night and that seemed to help some, but still there are cases where someone might be directly in front of me laying in the grass or across the map and i still dont see them. Any advice???

Move closer to the TV!
I sit 13 inches away from my 24inch LCD and can spot a sniper not moving in high grass because I know what each map looks like and where theres a thick bush or not.
As I stated in game last night:
I am not the best player but I can be the most patient. And if it moves and I dont see a green tag Im going to drill it. And I can rest well at night because at the end of the match I know that I am not cheating to get a higher Kill to Death ratio.

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
If not killcam then free-spectate and the ability to toggle through the players on BOTH teams. I find it really helpful trying to confirm where I was shot from (usually a sniper). So many times it is from a distance that if you aren't a sniper yourself you're not going to see them. It serves to teach me yet another spot to be wary of. And free-spec is also a great way to watch the battle unfold from above while waiting to respawn.

Re: KillCam, for those what the heck? Moments
Pretty much this. I saw more bitching and complaining last night thanks to the kill cam than I've ever seen before. I got accused of blind nading (I had been watching shots come from a corner the whole map, tossed my grenade there finally and got shot as I threw so I couldn't even follow it in), I saw Smurf get accused of ledging (which he wasn't, not only was it legit on my kill cam but I also physically went to where he was and was able to see what he did without ledging) and a bunch of other moaning. Last night was pretty horrendous all around, and I think the kill cam was in large part responsible.
If it stays on, it stays on. Personally I've now trained myself to now hit F as soon as I die and skip the cam as fast as possible, because I know how I died: I was dumb or slow. But I sincerely hope that people start realizing the whole 5 second window you get from the kill cam ain't the whole story.
