Strange Enjoyment of Creek as CTF map..
I finally played my 1st time on Creek as CTF. The map kind of sucks no matter what mode, but strangely I enjoyed that round..
If people listen, you really can detail a couple people to hold "A" while the majority keeps the other team from trying to cap "B" out by the waterfall area..
It certainly was more fast-paced and "runny-gunny" than S&D is, but I was pleasantly surprised at how the team at least "tried" to act as a cohesive unit, and it was a break from the "norm" that seemed to get people ready for some good S&D rounds that followed..

Yeah, it's not bad for a small team domination round. I can't imagine whether it would still work with large teams. I still don't like it for S&D, though.

Re: Strange Enjoyment of Creek as CTF map..
Last night we played a game that was very fun. Our team had a huge lead cause we were able to hold A and B then in a turn of events they took A and B and we got C and they cameback from a big difference to win i think final score was 251 to 244 so really close game. But I like how Wetwork, Creek, and Bloc are ctf now.

The one map that shouldnt even be on the server is Wetwork... Its just a spawn killing and blind-nade-athon on that map and it isnt much better when on S&D
We're not retreating, we're advancing in another direction

Played a round tonite..was just bad..and I was on the winning team...
People setting right outside the spawn just decimating the other team that was limited to that single spawn point, one moron got 2 heli's..
I now think it needs to go away..

I was there with you birdie, in fact I had to ask you what it was because I had never played that type before. We had a blast, we respected spawn sites, we had fun, we respected each others as players, we had fun, and we acted as teams.

Re: Strange Enjoyment of Creek as CTF map..
I witnessed a few players last night moving passed the A flag looking to rape spawns.
None were TG tagged and a few were told in Voice to move back.
Sorry, I didnt have my RCON up to kick them. And this may bring a good discussion in the admin area...

Re: Strange Enjoyment of Creek as CTF map..
It all boils down to the same old thing: Who is willing to listen and work as a team, and who wants to be a spawn raping jackhole looking for kills.
On the S&D maps, the gameplay is far easier to control as it can be slowed down somewhat. On this Domination crapper, it is balls out the entire time.
Last night on Wetworks, that was the first time I have played it as a DOM map, and it was horrible for the team I was on, as we did not get to the middle to get "B" and the other team held it the whole (thankfully) very few minutes it took to end the map...
It would not hurt my feelings any to see that particular mode go the way of the dinosaurs.
