    but what is a PhysX Card? what does it do?

    Phys X is simply an instruction set intended for use with video cards which support it...currently only NVIDIA cards support this feature.

    Its a separate card that handles the games physics or environment such as building etc... The only problem is the game has to be made to use a physx card.

    I believe they mostly control stuff like destructable environments. You probably will see these becoming popular in the future but not so much now.

    Too, bad the games that support this effort.
    Were either hamstrung by bad coding or inept implementation.

    Actually the PhysX cards aren't gonna be made anymore since the newer nVidia cards can do all the rendering themselves. Thus why all the newest nVidia drivers have PhysX drivers as well.
