Snipers
What is the fascination with all the snipers??? is their a way that we can limit the number of snipers a team has?? i think that it is getting a little out of controll that out of a team of eight you can have and i have seen 6 out of the eight have snipers.... is that really what a real world situation would be like?? I personally, and yes this is just my opinion would love to see sinper kits reduced to one per team, and depending on the map ( cant do it for the pub maps on server 1) have two snipers. i think that would tactically change the way we plan at the begining of the round and make snipers all that more leathal. maybe im old school from CS:S and love only having one sniper and utalizing the sniper role but i see a lack of planing b/c of snipers.
example the kashan map that i love on server two. that map coupld be limited to two snipers. then we could start using OVERWATCH and bounding tecniques that i learned in the infantry and assult courses that i took through COD4!!!!!

Cant do anything about server 1. Well we can. Server 1 should be getting a face lift soon...
Server 2, I believe has the config to set up an amount of each class but I am not sure if it works. I will revisit it and determine why...

seriously cause we were playing on bloc and switched it to S&D and on offense I grabbed bomb and wanted to make a plan and noticed there was only 2 people out of at least 8 that weren't carrying snipers. Thats why I hate bloc because on S&D its just a snipe fest.

I remember bringing this up a long time ago and at the current time server setting couldnt be changed. Would be nice to see happen. Snipers are scum when they are in mass numbers.
Do you really want invincible bears running around raping your churches and burning your women?

Server 2 has the config set to allow only 2 per team I believe but Server 1 is a no go as long as it's a vanilla server. They don't allow you mess with the config with stuff like that unless it's modded.

many people also have overkill, i know i have a kit with a sniper but i have a second gun because i like the guillie suit. and every now and then having an extra gun such as a sniper can help take out a long range trouble maker who will once he spots you blow off your head with an overrated 50 cal. M40 ftw

Snipers have their place but I'll tell you what happened. House and a couple of others just used to spank people left and right before we could see them on some of the maps (which by the way is the tactical part of having a sniper - but doesn't make it any more enjoyable for those being sniped). So others started using the kit as a counter manuver and we ended up with the sniper wars.

I've got Overkill on my Sniper kit, so I use it whenever I can. Gives me two options for rifles, plus a ghillie suit. Why not.

Every kit I use is an Overkill kit, but none of them are sniper kits. I have a "large map" and a "small map" offense and defense kit for each, and then I have my "PWN you all P-90/M21" kit.
And yes, it is all Houses fault..! hahahah
