Re: removal of game play type
[QUOTE=birdie_in_Texas;1201451]It all comes down to whether players want to follow the rules or not.
Just food for thought but following the "Rules" is one thing but "game style" is another and you can have diverse game styles but still keep the rules of the server and TG in general.
Quote = Birdie_in_Texas; If they are not playing the objective and are sitting back and just sniping kills then they will get kicked..
Sometimes sniping is tactical as it keeps the enemy from getting to the flag to capture it or retake it. The map spawns people far from the objective so sometimes you have to kill to live and travel across the map to get to the site. Every player who dies short of getting there to capture or defuse is tipping the tables in your teams favor.
Every map can be played in a tactical fashion if people will just take the time to get a strategy going and quit just running out of spawn to get kills.
Some people do run out of spawn to get kills but many run out as a part of tactic and team play to get a position that is only enhanced by getting there quick. I have seen a team sit there and talk about brilliant strategy and almost all die in an air strike or many get killed when they do come out because the enemy is so ready and watching by then. Remember what Asch said.
Asch Quote:
* We need to understand the terms we use better.
Simulation does not equal realism. (simulation != realism)
Slow play does not equal tactical. (slow != tactical)
Fast play does not equal run-n-gun. (fast != run-n-gun)
Because some players prefer things at a faster or slower pace does not make one more or less tactical or realistic. The only difference may be the effectiveness of that style in a particular game. For instance, players that move with great speed in a game like Armed Assault may quickly find themselves dead due to the lethality of the weapons. On the opposite side of the coin players that attempt to use strict squad formations and slow movement in a game like battlefield may find themselves out of the action quite often because the action moves faster. The game/mod dictates quite a bit of the play-style.
Birdie Quote; The "new" server 1 will take care of these issues. After it gets up and going, everyone will see quite quickly who is really here to play in a mature tactical fashion and who isn't.
There is one "Mature Tactical Fashion"? I will have to ponder that one.....all for one and one for all team!
Diverse styles to work together to accomplish one mission remaining flexible to change if needed as the round unfolds and dictates. Maturity is a big topic with a lot of facets.
I agree with take it out if things were the same on the server but the new conditions change all that.
