    removal of game play type

i would like to request the removal of the game type headquaters from the map rotation. i think that it is pointless for that game type to be on the server. all it promotes is run and gun type play. plus the fact that it gets skiped everytime im on, it would lesson the need for admins to have to log into consol and change it manual.

yes it CAN be played tactical, but when you have people who like to sit and snipe and not move twoard an objective it gets frustrating really quick.

also i would like the removal of the map countdown. i think that this map does not promote TG game play. from multiple playing sessions i have seen in my opinion it is nothing more than a snipe fest with a rush to either site to try and get into better posistion TO snipe.

just my humble opinion to make the server 1 a little better

I think your right Snake. Headquarters is kinda crappy when almost everyone is sniping and it becomes a difficult challenge to move. Especially when its on Creek, possibly the worst map ever. It wouldnt break my heart if it was gone.

    Agreed.

Perhaps theres a way to skip the map if there is a certain number of players on (automatically)?

when i play i see people sniping but if you tell them to go for they do. evrytime im on there i try to push my team to go for the objective and most of the time they do. you just have to tell someone that and they will move.

that was my two cents if it worth anything

Change is a comin'! I can't wait to see what it is.

And my two cents - HQ on Creek is fun if the teams are small and play the objective.

I find the map countdown a nice map, I hardly select a sniper kit on it.

Headquaters on creek is a nice change of paste, but i can see the point it's not really a tactical type of map/game type.

It all comes down to whether players want to follow the rules or not. If they are not playing the objective and are sitting back and just sniping kills then they will get kicked..

Every map can be played in a tactical fashion if people will just take the time to get a strategy going and quit just running out of spawn to get kills.

The "new" server 1 will take care of these issues. After it gets up and going, everyone will see quite quickly who is really here to play in a mature tactical fashion and who isn't.

FYI I have played on the new server 1 config for the last 2 nights and every regular here is going to LOVE IT! I'm not going to spoil the suprise here, but I don't think this conversation of "game type" will be an issue once the new config is released. No one is going to want to bother with domination or headquarters gameplay as a diversion once it is generally available.... which if I understood Drona last night, will probably be tonight. But don't quote me.

Bubba will most likely make an official post when the servers are ready for the "makeover". All I can say at this time is that there are a lot of changes being made. Sorry to those who are wondering what they may be. I know that waiting stinks. I can say that the list of new things to come is tremendous. Almost too many changes to the game to even list. Drona would be able to but, for us "game players only" we have no idea what goes behind the doors of the dark room.
