Still boundaries?
Are there still boundaries for the CoD4 servers?
If so can someone please point me in the right direction to the screenshots that were made that have the boundary lines for the stock maps? I can't seem to find that thread anymore.
Would be much appreciated.Vir-Chew-All!!

Re: Still boundaries?
boundaries where removed a couple months ago. But alot of the players still claim the boundaries are in effect.
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: Still boundaries?
No boundaries just read the main rule about defending the bomb site from the initial choke point...

Re: Still boundaries?
I believe that thread was removed when the hard-and-fast boundaries were removed. They don't apply any longer anyways because the bombsites have moved. Unless you want them for another reason in which case I can email them to you...I kept copies.

Re: Still boundaries?
Boundaries Smoundaries.....if you are too far forward from the defensive areas and kill someone you will hear that you are too far up on the map and someone will describe a point that is acceptable and beyond that is not....call it what you wish but any way you communicate it, it is a boundary.
Boundary =
1. Something that indicates a border or limit.
2. The border or limit so indicated.
A limit indicated by a line, a point of reference or object or concept IE you must see the bomb site is a boundary. Boundaries preserve something perceived to be good and beneficial. Whether in a game, marriage, kids, work, sports or war. Why be afraid of the word or concept.
No matter how you say it there are always people who will push the limits to get the enemy etc. If you say that you must be able to see the bomb site, that opens a can of worms, and on some maps the closest choke point(s) can be a problem. I think that the map images we used with lines to define acceptable defensive positions made every bodies lives easier. Now it is open to a bit of interpretation and squabbling. What is important is that the same rule applies all the time for all players. I have been on defense and told “You cannot go past where you are” ok and then next round I get killed by enemy 50 yards past that point. The confusing part is that admins differ on their interpretation of these positions on the map also. Operating in the Gray area if you are an admin is one thing but if a regular TG or visitor can have bitter consequences in any clan server. It is just a game, but we all want to enjoy it men.

Re: Still boundaries?
Drona, you make good points in your post that you gave the link to.
Crossfire is also unique with the old bomb placements because A house gave excellent overview of B bomb site. A house is viewed by myself and some others as critical t control to maintain success on B site for both planting and defending your planted bomb and also on defense is obviously critical as an overview of B but not as much of A as far as being able to see it from inside or upstairs in the building but more from the point of intercepting offense as they pass by it to A.
Thanks again for the work you have done Drona, the new bomb sites gave a breath of fresh air to the server and game play.
