Drivers are basically the brain the controls the hardware and allows it to communicate to the software so basically a medium between the software and hardware. They release updates usually to fix/enhance the way it works and communicates. In most cases they will allow the graphics card to work smoother but you never know until you install them. Some work better than others and you just have to find the right one for your computer.
I get burst of 350 - 400 FPS in game now since I installed these. I still get lower FPS in parts of maps where more is going on - around 100 - 125 though I average around 200 or so.

I updated to these drivers and my jaw hit the floor.....I seen about a 30% increase in FPS....which leads me to believe that my last drivers had screwey SLI control.....I now hum around 270-350 FPS in game
You've heard of Tier 1 and Seal team Six right?
Were not those guys....were the 16TH.

Yeah Ven they are definitely tweaking them for multiple cards now.
