Water cooling
This was for Mediator and Drona but I thought I would post this in the general forums
This is my system
Intel E8500 @3.16 -EP45 DS5P MB -2x2Gb corsair 1066 Ram -Palit 4870 HD -Themaltake 650w PSU -2x 320GB WD HD's in RAID 0
The parts List
Cpu cooling block is Ek plexi supream
Gpu cooling block Danger Den
Pump Thermaltake
Radiators 1 XSPCRX240BLK 2 XSPCRX120BLK
1x 5 1/4 bay reservoir
13x Bitspower 3/8 G 1/4 compression fittings
4 Bitspower 1/2 G 1/4 fittings
1x 2 way rotory adaptor G 1/4
1x 3 way rotory adaptor G 1/4
1x 1/2 fillport
1x 3/8 drain plug
4 meters of 3/8 id hose
1 meter of 1/2 id hose
The system runs a duel loop, the reservoir feeds the pump via the 1/2 in hose from the pump the feed splits and drops to 3/8 id hose, 1 line to the cpu block and the other to the graphics card block. From the blocks the lines feed to there own radiator ,the cpu runs the 120 and the gpu runs the bigger 240 both rads have yate loon 120 mm medium speed fans and the 240 has an extra 140 yate loon. From the rads the hoses feed back to the reservoir. To fill the reservoir i have a fill port mounted in the top of the case it runs a 1/2 in hose. To empty the system i have a 3/8 hose with drain fitting set up.
Not the cheapest system but one that has not got hot since i set it up, this temps are just as i've come out of the game (WaW) Hope this helps with anyone thinking about liquid cooling....

Re: Water cooling
That's all well and good, Wookiee, but why do you have software that tells you how far you are from your local TJ Maxx?

Re: Water cooling
may I ask why you using a water cooling system..??
Is it due to overcloking and the high temps that come with that..??
Or is it noise reduction..??

Re: Water cooling
Ha, Dee, I was thinking the same thing. I would think it's not overclocked to the limit, otherwise the temperatures would be higher, so one would assume that it must be the other reason... noise reduction.
But you're forgetting the third possibility.... Wookiee just has way more money than sense!
