Call of Duty 4 Server Rules - Updated.

General Rules for The Call Of Duty 4 Servers:


It is extremely important that you are aware of these rules as these are a cornerstone to our Tactical Gamer standards.


Our Call of Duty SOP's and general rules can be found HERE.


* Play the objectives!. NO lone wolfing. TEAMWORK is required!

* Defense Objective: Prevent the attackers from planting. Defuse a planted bomb.

* Attackers Objective: Plant the bomb and ensure detonation.

* Bomb Carrier is the Squad Leader - Follow their orders. Bomb Carrier MUST use VOIP!

* Do not rush the Attackers spawn at round start.

* No UAV's, Airstrikes, Helicopters or explosives are to be used in the first 20 seconds of a round.


Play the objective / Lone Wolfing:
Your objective is NOT to get as many kills as you can but to help your team defend or plant the bomb, capture or defend HQ and Domination Checkpoints. Players not doing so are considered to be Lone Wolfing. Lone Wolfing is defined as having total disregard for your team and objective at hand.

Defender Roles:
Defenders are to defend their objective(s) and prevent the attackers from planting. Defenders can take any route they like to a different objective to reinforce or to flank enemy positions - once contact has been called. While Defenders may set up forward of their objectives and cover any routes of approach, they are not to rush towards the enemy spawn at round start!

Attackers:
The role of an attacker is to attack an area of interest and fulfill their primary in-game objective. Attackers may use any and all routes available to them to accomplish the mission. Attackers need to be aware that there are no safe areas and they are entering hostile territory once they've exited their immediate spawn area.

Bomb Carrier:
The bomb carrier is the squad leader. They will determine the objective, fire teams and routes to target. Bomb carrier/SL should also act as defensive SL the following round. Support the squad leader and follow orders.

VOICECHAT:
VoiceChat is a staple of effective teamwork and is highly recommended. You are required to have the in game VoiceChat enabled so you can hear your teammates. Bomb Carriers in S&D MUST have a functioning mic and communicate orders to their team. Using TeamChat is an alternative to VoiceChat (except for bomb carriers). Players not communicating with their team may be considered Lone Wolfing.

Please feel free to join us on the TG Teamspeak server. Registration is required for access. Use of Teamspeak is normally optional but may be required for some scrimmages and special events.

Spawn Rushing:
Spawn Rushing is considered a Lone Wolf tactic and is not allowed. Spawn Rushing is where players immediately go engage enemy players near their spawn area. Shooting into an enemy spawn point at round start is not allowed. However, if the enemy is shooting from their spawn, then they can be engaged.

Explosives and Hardpoints:
The use of Frag Grenades/203s/C-4/UAV/Air-strikes/Choppers are prohibited before the first 20 seconds of the round. Claymores, Flash-bangs, Stun grenades and Smoke canisters are exempt from this rule.

Bunny Hopping:
Bunny-hopping is defined as jumping to avoid fire, around corners / in front of enemy and jumping over claymores to mitigate damage. Jumping and climbing over objects while under fire is not considered bunny-hopping.

Team Killing (TKs):
Intentional TKs or excessive TKs are not acceptable behavior on TG servers. Everyone enjoys playing every round and getting TK is one way to ruin that experience. In addition to limiting the TKs in the game ensure you are fully aware of fields of fire, your team's location, your team's uniforms. In Call of Duty 4 the Perk: Martyrdom is not conducive to Team play and sets an inherent risk to all players on that team. Martyrdom is not allowed as a perk.

What infractions can an admin kick/ban for?

Admins WILL take whatever action they deem necessary to maintain the high standards we demand on our servers. Depending on severity, the COD4 admin team will follow:

1. Warning
2. Kick with time
3. Kick with more time
4. Ban

Be advised that players wearing the TG tag are assumed to have read our rules and are held to a higher standard.

If by chance an admin is not immediately available to assist you with an issue or a rule breaker, please file a report HERE.
