My new toy
A few of you seemed to enjoy my old rig posted in the "Show your gaming rig" thread so I thought I'd show off my latest creation.

Very nice, medic. What made you choose X58 and the i7? Did you consider the P55 and i5?

I had been picking up parts here and there when they were on sale and/or had a good rebate deal. Ended up getting the Motherboard for $349 after rebate about three weeks before the 1156's came out. I also wasn't really keeping up on my reading to know that they would be out soon. Was a little miffed when I saw that they came out the same week I began this build, but it was my own fault. So far the gaming performance of the 1156 i7s isn't much if any better so I'm still happy with it, and there is rumor that there will be an i9 chip for the x58 chipset. We'll see though.
