Mixed Mode Monday
Cross posting from the WaW forum. This idea will get its first run through on the WaW server on Monday the 12th. We'll try this for CoD4 on Monday the 19th.
Here are the modes we can pick from:Hey gang. I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout last night with the server set to HQ(with no prior notice mind you). It drew in several pub players and we had a nice 5v5 going for a good while. It was also nice to play some of the stock maps and actually get to use the whole battlespace.
We've been bouncing around the idea of doing Mixed Mode Mondays to try and draw some new folks to the server. I'd like to get folks thoughts on this.
// "ch" - capture and hold
// "ctf" - capture the flag
// "dom" - domination
// "koth" - headquarters
// "sab" - sabotage
// "sd" - search & destroy
// "twar" - war
We can choose from any of the custom maps (provided the map supports the gametype) as well as any of the stock maps. The maps on the server are listed in the stickies.
Let's get some combo ideas out this week then I'll put together a rotation and we can give a try. Thanks for any input.

I've commented on trying the sabotage gameplay before, and if we can get the new people in the right frame of mind along with the regulars, it could be a great game. I would 100% try this on any map possible, new or vanilla.

I will follow the masses and hit WaW tonight and COD4 next Monday. This could be a really fun change of pace if everyone understands the gameplay and puts aside any frustrations for the first few new rounds of each gametype. Looking forward to it.
