Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

Wow, incredibly excited about the MP now, with TG. Many different modes to play, the hardcore and the old school modes seem like a good time. See you online tomorrow!

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

Already bought it about 15mins ago. It comes in a regular CD case, which is extremely odd, I don't remember the last time I bought a PC game that came in one of these, must been a few years ago. So use to the dvd movie cases that games come in now, I decided just to grab the regular version, limited offered nothing special to me, beside a strat guide, which is useless for me anyway.

I canned mine once I found out the PC one only came with a strat guide and nothing else.

I was planning on canceling the game but amazon is already preping it for shipping. I expect it here tomorrow or Thursday.

I don't understand how this game got a 9.3 from IGN.

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

Nice to hear, just picked it up at Best Buy. Got myself a new 8800GT as well, best buy has a 90 days return policy around christmas so I plan to use this card over the holidays for Crysis and COD4. If price goes down or a better card comes out I will just return it.

Now I am just waiting for my 4 month old daughter sleep time and its game on.

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

Sing her a lullaby. Get to playing this, either SP or MP. So far I've only been playing the single player campaign and it's outstanding. If anyone's on the fence to buy this or not, you won't regret it.

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

I bought it today and finished the campaign.. although it feels short, it was a fantastic game. Intense doesn't even begin to describe it, as I couldn't step away from it until I finished. Wow. This is one of a very very few 360 games that is worth every penny.

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

Im very impressed with the MP. The ability to shoot through certain kinds of walls adds a lot. You have to decide if whatever you are behind is concealment or cover. Attacking someone behind concealment is great, because when he ducks behind and thinks hes safe he suddenly has a ton of bullets coming through the wall

Game modes are awesome. I imagine S/D will be the most popular here, and I could see HQ working though its a bit more hectic. Im really looking forward to hopefully having a lot of TG guys playing S/D, because itll be great to time attacks on a point with flash bangs, smokes, etc.

The unlock and configuration system is decent and will add longevity to the game. The only thing I wish I could do was configure during play rather than only when im in the main menu or at map change. But thats my only criticism so far, and its not a biggie.

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

The unlock system (like BF2) is the only aspect I dislike about this game. Playing against players with better weapons which I don't have access to really really ruins the game for me (and seeing as I've played as a rank 4 against rank 20+, something is up with their matching system on Live).

Re: CoD4 --Opinions?

Once you get the M4 (and youll get it within 2 hours of playing), youll be fine against anyone else. It seems like after the M4 the rest of the guns are just different rather than better.

I could crap a better gun than the M16 though, which is the default assault rifle.
