Picked this game up when it first came out here (Australia). Impressions are that SP is kind of...meh...looks great, but gameplay is a little off. Hard to put my finger on what's wrong with it, but it doesn't feel right.

Jumped into MP and it's great! Haven't gone through all the modes yet. The ones I have gone through seem pretty good, so far my favorite has gotta be headquarters, will try and play the other modes when I can find them on a decent server.

Don't know about other people but I found it kinda hard to play at first, probably coz I've been playing QW:ET and the feel of play is totally different. But this is definately a game to get just for its MP. If a TG server goes up I'll want to play there, though I don't know how well it's going to run as I will definitely have a massive ping.

I had the same feeling about the single player it just doesnt feel right. I just hope MP at TG can rescue my 50 bucks I spent on the game. Maybe I expected to much. I guess the next COD is off my must buy list.

Yeah I made that disastrous choice with Graw 2, if more TG playing daily/weekly I'll get MP heh

Not sure I'd like not having a HUD. I could deal without an ammo count or map, but would the target/bomb markers still show? Would the buttons I need for special weapons and in-round earned perks still show?

Santa- I'll take a look at the settings again. From what I recall though, where there were multiple bind slots for a particular action, they seemed redundant for no reason. For instance, there's a bind for "Sprint" and then a bind for "Sprint/Steady sniper rifle". That makes no sense.

I downloaded and played a little bit of the demo last night...couldn't get past the tank in the bog and kept getting overwhelmed by enemy. Probably just new game noobness I guess.

Even with the limited amount of play time I was impressed. COD was really the first FPS I got into in a big way so I may be biased. This title will go on my Christmas list for sure.

I played COD2 MP at TG for quite a while before taking up with PRM and ARMA. I'm sure COD 4 MP will be done just right at TG as well. COD2 after TG modded it was basically a totally different game than the retail MP and I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that Bubba and company will repeat the success with COD4

Tarpan... I was a CoD player when I first played BF2. I hated the non sticky crouching that BF2 had. I like CoD one...

Anyway the reason behind that is when playing S&D when you are the last guy you want to be stealthy. When walking with sights up or crouch walking your steps are not heard.

I have a headset, and I can hear which direction somebody is coming from if somebody is walking behind a wall, or running around the corner towards me just by hearing them. Since I like crouchwalking the other person have no idea I am there and I can ambush them easily.

Give it some time and I think you will benefit from this later on.

My first shooter was CS, where you also had to walk/crouch while moving to be stealthy at times. I bind crouch to "shift" and walk to "ctrl", and use my pinky for either. I've had times where I walked around an entire map holding down a button with my pinky.

It's no problem for me, and I feel it has more advantage than sticky stances. Instead of having two keys to switch between two stances, I only have one. If I need to change from crouch to standing so I can move more quickly all of a sudden, it's far faster to release a key I'm already pressing than to find and press the "stand" key (yes, I know it's as simple as hitting the space key). Plus, it's far easier to remember what stance I'm in (I've already been confused several times).

I'll never like sticky crouching, it feels stupid and slow to me. Everyone has their preferences, and this is one of mine. :P

I Just got the game in and the SP mode has me so disappointed. Not as bad as COD3 but not as enjoyable as COD1/UO/2.

I am not sure what is wrong it's just not grabbing me like it used to.

MP is fun. I have played TDM and I enjoy it. I still prefer UO but I am enjoying it.

To me UO was not that great either, Since it was not made by IW. I've not tried this SP yet, mainly because I don't care enough right now. MP is where its at.

UO was great. UO added so much to the MP of COD1 it's just insane.

With the focus on console development it will honestly be a LONG time before COD can top UO on a multiplayer level.

I thought the vehicles were pretty cheesy, some of the maps were cool, and adding sprint and smoke 'nade was nice, I was mainly talking about the SP side of things on UO though.

Once thing they've gotta do is, quit being wishy-washy and letting other people develop the game, you get infantry only in one game, some next has vehicles, then COD2 has nothing, then another dev gets COD3 turns the MP into I have no idea what....etc.

My main complaint of UO is that IRC it was the first COD to have a constant stream of enemies until you hit a trigger.
