    Call of Duty 2 Night 06/28/2006 (Wednesday)

    Please join us this Wednesday for our next official Call of Duty 2 Night, starting around 8pm Eastern. You can find general information about the server and our mods here. We play the game a little differently from how standard Call of Duty 2 is played, so be sure to come and see what we're all about.

    Keep in mind that we have plenty of new maps on the server to play; most of these are large maps that offer a plethora of tactical opportunities. Let's get a good turnout so we can really take advantage of these new maps.

    Damn, I really enjoy playing this online if only for a few rounds, but talk about feeling inadequate. I need to play a bunch more to really dig into the "how" of playing this really well tactically.

    We had a fine turnout last night. Thanks to all who came on!

    These new maps have really opened things up in this game, IMO. Last night I saw some excellent coordination and tactics, both from defenders and attackers alike. Folks seem to be using smoke much more effectively now, especially when it comes to providing cover over an objective before attempting a bomb plant. I also saw some beautiful flanking maneuvers, which led to some extremely intense firefights. Very nice stuff.

    I experimented with screenshot captures last night, and next week I'd like to try to get some good shots that illustrate how we play the game. Most tactically oriented gamers seem to blow this game off until they try our version of it, and then they're hooked. Maybe some screenshots could help to show off our gameplay to the uninitiated.

    Great fun last night. The new maps are great you guys are a gem to play with. I like the way we welcome all newcomers and let them be a part and the tactics are getting better and better. We got owned on a few maps but made up for it on some others. This is why its so much fun. You just never know.

    I made a small effort to be on since I got out from work late and was participating on another server.
    The no zoom always trips me out.. I am really Really not used to the no zoom.
    but it's always a blast to game with you all.

    Or maybe the zoom is not as noticeable as teh stock setting?
