This does not look much like Karkand. Only about half the layout reminds me of Karkand. Cod4 Sharqi looks like BF2 Sharqi. COD4 Karkand does not look like BF2 Sharqi. Regardless of that, the map is huge and looks pretty damn fun to play.
There's some places where you have to improvise to access.

Wow this map looks huge! These large maps are really going to make choosing a kit difficult. Snipers will be great for picking people off at range but eventually you have to get in close. I think the assualt rifles will start to be popular over the P90 etc.
I finally played a few rounds on this map and I like it. However we were playing with 5 or 6 per team and it just didn't seem like enough players due to the size. It was still a good map but with so few players and amazing vantage points one guy could hold off a whole team if he/she was good (I'm not that guy of course).
The only thing I fear with this map is that once people learn it the attackers are going to be really hard pressed to win.

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
