I need help - map making

ok i understand most everything in the editor now but i cant figure out how to get the bomb sites for search an destroy is it a model i have to find and load or is it something different entirely? step by step is much appreciated.

(using COD4 Radiant)

ok,

well i got the structure of this map done the spawn points are done almost done with lighting then im doing the decor but it still needs the bomb points and i dont know how to get them in the map and it sucks cause this map is freakin genius (underground subway station complete with market and control center)

IIRC, to put in S&D targets:

Right click -> misc -> model (or prefab, I can't remember which is used) -> MP -> sd_*

I've goofed around with the editor and have 1 almost complete map, and another 2 that I started and never finished. Here are some links to CoD4 mapping FAQ's/forums that I found useful.

Hrmm.. I had several bookmarks for the Infinity Ward mapping Wiki, but they seem to have removed it. It seems there is some sort of conspiracy going on in the IW forums.

OMG is right. I must have said that 50+ times when I was making a map. Since it's been months that I've opened up radiant, the only thing I can tell you is to go to modsonline and start searching. That was the biggest help for me. I wish I could be of more help.

When do you get this error? During fast file creation or compiling? I know that some of the prefabs have shader issues and can only be fixed if you are a computer genius.

Also, did you patch the radiant program. The original program had shader issues and the patch fixed it. Wish I could remember the link.

patch! i need a patch! i never knew i needed a patch since i got radine just 2wks ago.

error is encountered during load up of prefab and model .map files.

also ive killed another map (corrupt file loaded something wrong or something i dont know) so ive changed designs and ive hand drawn plans for a small city which should be awesome.

try this link. Make sure to go to mod tools download and revision history for the updates. It will help dramatically. No more shader issues for the prefabs.

If you need help making textures or buildings.
There are many talented people here at TG just ask.
Also, try raidersmerciless for map making help.
From what I understand the wiki is full of information wrongly written.
