G3 script
I want to start using the G3 in COD4.
Who has a burst fire script that is PunkBuster safe that you can share with me?
Thanks

Re: G3 script
Is that technically illegal? And if not, why do you need to use burst fire with the G3? Use a different weapon for that.

I have to agree with jmaker. I don't know if it's legal or not, but for me it takes away from the realism of the game. Isn't realism what TG is all about?

Re: G3 script
Not too sure how much the realism argument works in this case. The G3 can be an automatic weapon, in real life.

Perhaps I used the wrong word with "realism". What I meant was in-game realism. In the game there is no automatic G3.
As quoted from the Tactical Gamer Primer:
Quote:
Within Tactical Gamer, ANY activity that capitalizes on the limitations of a game to provide the advantage rather than that advantage coming from superior teamwork, strategy and tactics, is frowned upon. We all want to win when we play, but the focus at Tactical Gamer should be one of winning with some sort of dignity, honor, and skill, not because you were able to out-exploit the other team or box them into a corner built on technological weakness that gives you the advantage.
Tactical Gamer requires teamwork because only through working as a team can we complete the objectives we are assigned. The reward for winning through superior strategy and tactics is far greater than the reward for winning through exploitation and oppression.
|
Maybe I am reading it wrong, but a burst-fire script for the G3 seems to go against a core principle of Tactical Gamer.

Re: G3 script
I know a few of the servers I frequent will kick for firing semi-autos with the mouse wheel, let alone a script. I would just play the game as it is. If you can't handle the weapon in single shot, you may want to keep practicing, because it's pretty darn deadly.

Re: G3 script
I know other games at TG allow players to run scripts, I guess we will have to see how the COD4 guys want to run it. I messed around with it a little last night and it is a sweet gun on a 3 or 4 round burst. Even with just a two round burst its fairly deadly. I'm sure if its is game breaking they will do something about it. Not sure much can be done though, I was able to set up a script that would shoot three rounds slightly faster than you could be clicking. Although the big difference was that the mouse didn't move because I wasn't doing the manual clicking. Not sure how you could tell the difference between someone running a script and someone who can just click rapidly.
