sure thing, just post a download in the forum here or we can pass it around on xfire again
Hopefully I'll be done with work in a couple of hours, and then, if anyone is around, maybe we could do a quick test of Trainyard. For this small test, I'm thinking we could just use xFire to pass the map around.
Trainyard is murder if you're not a sniper -- we all experienced this Friday night. Do we want to continue to run this map, or pull it out of the rotation? I'd vote for pulling it; once a sniper gains control of the upper room in that central building, he has overwatch of the entire map.
Regarding further HQ mods, I plan to move on to Silotown and Rhine now. My intention is to use the conversions that we're running on the WRM server, and make the HQ modifications server-side only. This way, we can get lots of player traffic (since these maps seem to draw players) and still play HQ on them.
Would you know, or can you find out how to reduce the gamestate on these maps?
The modded maps are even causing WRM to hiccup lol
Bone, I think if we switched to the maps included in the map pack mentioned in this thread, we'd have better luck with the gamestate issue. Also, the maps in that map pack are set up properly for DM, TDM, and CTF, which in turn makes it possible to do a proper conversion to HQ. Whether you want to switch to these newer maps immediately or wait until they're ready for HQ is up to you, but I think we should definitely switch over to them at some point.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
