Community Maps
With the release of the CoD2 MOD tools, I'm sure we'll start to see plenty of user-made maps released to the public. I think we should definitely consider these for use on our server, but we need to make sure they're of good quality and that they accomodate our style of play. I recommend that each of us download new maps that pique our interest, try them out, and see if they're worth a look by the group. We could use this thread to keep track of the various maps we've examined.
In my mind, we're looking for high quality maps of at least medium size that support the Search & Destroy gametype. By "of at least medium size," I mean that enemy players should have to jog directly toward each other for at least 30 seconds before meeting. Maps of this size should give each side plenty of time to devise a plan and set it in motion. We'd also want maps that offer multiple routes to objectives, provide good cover where appropriate, and allow for balanced team play.
I know quite a few mappers are already working on conversions of their maps from previous CoD titles to CoD2. These are the maps that I expect will be released first, and likely fairly soon. Since these have already been tested extensively in their previous iterations, we should, initially, have a good batch of maps from which to choose.
Thoughts?

Re: Community Maps
I'd like to bump this. Do we have any mappers out there that would like to make a TG style map for the community?

Re: Community Maps
After my exam next week I'll have more time than I'll know what to do with so I might have a bash. I don't know how far I'll get though. In the past I have always given up before completing maps.
