Download New Maps?

I had trouble last night with one map. Is there a way I can download the new maps outside of the game and install them? This way I want have to worry about this happening again. Thanks in advance.

Yes. You can download the map packs manually:

Map Pack 1
Map Pack 2
Map Pack 3
Map Pack 4
Map Pack 5

These files all need to go in your \Call of Duty 2\main folder. Normally I would not recommend placing custom map or mod files in this folder, but in order to get the "downloads on demand" feature to work correctly, this had to be done.

Once you've placed these files in the indicated directory, you should be good to go.

Unzip them in the C0D2/main folder.

What do you mean "they just don't start"? Can you be more specific?

Every map that I have in the Main folder works fine.

If you are trying to start up your own "Listen Server", and have to many maps in the Main folder, you will probably get a script compile error or iwd/sum mismatch error. Is that what you are experiencing?

You need to give us more information on what yor problem is, because we aren't mind readers, nor are we at your computer, to know what is going on.

If they are zipped you need to make sure that you unzip them in the main folder.

I Am Sorry. The Problem Is This. Sometimes The Maps Start But They Dont Beggin Allowing You To Choose A Side (german , British , American) , I Mean That You Can See The Map As It Loads But It Stays Like This, And Sometimes They Say That Iwd Error Mismatch.

Try a fresh reinstall. Seems like you have some corrupted IWD files.

put those in your COD2/main folder. No worries, ask as many questions as you like. If those dont work, join the server and let it download the maps/mods for you. The server is set to auto download, so that makes it easier.
