Supersonic Gunshots in Call of Duty 2
Some of you may have followed this thread in our BF2 forums.
I'm happy to say that SurvivorGrim and Dslyecxi have given their blessings for us to incorporate SuvivorGrim's supersonic gunshot audio samples into our CoD2 mod. This is being done not only to enhance the gameplay experience for players, but also to support Dslyecxi's effort. Thanks to both SurvivorGrim and Dslyecxi for their help with this.
If this sort of thing interests you, be sure to hop on our server for some games and check it out in action. Currently a "preliminary" version of the mod is running, so tweaks and enhancements will likely be needed. The biggest tweak I can see is limiting the supersonic gunshot sounds to supersonic rounds; currently the effects apply to all rounds in the game (supersonic or not), which isn't entirely correct.
The bottom line, though, is that this mod should take the level of immersion to another level for tactical realism players in Call of Duty 2.
