Re: Training Map
I'm hesitant to use one of our established CoD2 (meaning SD) nights for training. We're getting a fairly reliable external crowd to show up on those nights, and I'd hate for them to lose interest in our server.
My vote would be to pick a night when we actually don't have a lot of external traffic, and then schedule it as a recurring internal training night with the server locked.

Monday or Tuesday are good night's if they do not conflict with any thing else.

Re: Training Map
i think that in the beginning of training some one should be assigned to call out people who have won an award while were are standing at lineup and at the same time call out any other announcements and tell us what we will be going over in training

Re: Training Map
I think it is important that we keep our two days for general gamplay. Remeber that we have two CoD nights because we need two CoD nights. Alternativley we could have a training session early on Sunday or Wednesday if people are able to make it. After the training we could open up the server and maybe put our lessons into practice with our visitors.
I think the biggest hurdle we face is getting the required numbers to make it worth while. Some practice sessions would work with a few people but if we want to work on fireteams then maybe we should announce that a week in advance so people can make a special effort to turn up.

Re: Training Map
I agree with you when you say people should know what we will be doing in a training session.
As for your suggestion on announcing awards, we already have a system of announcing awards on our forums.
If you see someone who deserves an award then why not nominate them!

Re: Training Map
yeah if you mark down trainings a week in adance people would make a much higher effort to show up. By the way what time do you must of you guys run on? I'm on EST.

Re: Training Map
We usually talk in terms of EST. I think we start at about 8 EST on Wednesdays and sometimes early evening on Sundays.

Re: Training Map
The training map is up right now, if anyone wants to hop on. The password is tactical.
You can add the password to your CoD2 windows shortcut, like so:
"C:\Games\Activision\Call of Duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" +connect 70.87.55.27:28960 +password tactical
This is for an instance of CoD2 installed in C:\Games\Activision\Call of Duty 2\.
Hop on and get some range time.
