Some post about a guy commenting on the highlights of the Best Buy chat. I highlighted the chat in bold. This is for those who didn't want to read through that wall of vomit. The comments below are not mine.

I was already going to wait to buy this game, but after reading the transcript of the developer chat I now know that I will be avoiding it entirely. I wanted to compile all the info that I think PC gamers will care about most, so here's the most disappointing facts revealed (I've listed the worst offenders first):
--PC version IS DIRECT CONSOLE PORT, although IW denies this:
Moriarte: Ignoring IW.net, is the PC version a direct port of the console version?
Mackey-IW: No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.
I dont understand how this is not a direct port. Notice they haven't even improved graphics on PC over other platforms, all they've done is include PC relevant controls and settings. By their logic, Ninja Gaiden Sigma on ps3 isn't a 360 port since it enables using a ps3 controller. The fact that the graphics will be the same, matchmaking will be the same, gameplay will be the same, even the price is the same, this all sounds like a direct port to me, and it means the only adv PC will have is mouse/keyboard control
--Evidence of horrible connections:
Mackey-IW: I've been playing mainly with around 100ms ping and it was great.
An avg ping of ~100ms is way higher then the avg ping of servers I choose to play on, and any ping over 70ms produces a noticeable lag effect on gameplay. On top of this, the fact that the developers get a 100ms ping avg, and they're playing on a closed network connection with other players in the same building (all of whom presumably have no other background downloads or programs running), is a terrible sign for what the real world pings will be, especially for overseas players.
--No serious testing of overseas connections:
GeneralClean: Have you tested IW.net with connecting with overseas players? And if so what were the results?
Vince-IW: Yes, seemed good.
Wow, it "seemed good"? Sounds like you spent about 5 minutes test playing it without doing any kind of quantitative analysis of connection speed, latency, # of dropped packets, etc. Considering that millions of gamers around the world will be playing this online, you probably should have done a thorough test.
--MP limited to 9v9:
Mackey-IW: The max number of players on all platforms are 1v1 through 9v9.
When asked how this is an improvement over CoD4, which supported 32v32 and the most common map size was 16v16, they said
The CoD4 maps were not balanced for 32vs32. In MW2 the entire experience is carefully balanced for a smaller range of players.
I don't know about you, but the larger maps felt balanced to me, especially the 16v16
--Still no details on how matchmaking balances teams:
Mackey-IW: Well none of the programmers are in the chat today.. so let's just say it's crazy programmer magic. It's a lot more than just K/D though. The important thing is not that all players in a game are the exact same skill, but that the teams are balanced.
The fact that we're a week away from launch, and no one can tell us how IWnet even attempts to calculate skill is a scary thought.
--No ability to kick griefers/TKers/Spammers/Hackers:
Mackey-IW: Our goal is to ban hackers from the game.
and
Mackey-IW: You can easily mute players, and hardcore (friendly fire enabled ) SD has "ricochet" which makes you hurt yourself instead.
So you're "hoping" to ban hackers, and you're advice for dealing with griefers/TKers is to ignore them?
--Games are indeed hosted by a single-player, and host quits result in 5 sec delay:
kaRMa: Please give me a direct answer. On the PC version. Are all games hosted by players, and is there a 5 second delay when host migration is in effect?
Vince-IW: yes.
--The ability to dual-wield smg's and shotguns:
homie_wanna_liv: Can you dual wield SMG's with akimbo? Or just pistols?
Mackey-IW: Yup SMGs
Mackey-IW: And shottys if I'm not mistaken.
Wow, imagine the spray-and-pray madness of someone with 2 smgs, steady aim and stopping power. You could literally rack up dozens of kills without any skill whatsoever. And who thought it was a good idea to dual-wield shtoguns, which can one-shot kill people under normal circumstances?
--No ability to record matches:
frzg: Is there a /record feature? Answer yes... please. We're trying to give you a 'chance'
Vince-IW: no
--Killstreaks that end the match:
Mackey-IW: After you use the 25 kill streak, the game ends.
Considering how easy they made the gameplay, I can see lots of good players getting this easily and withing the first 5-10 min of a match
--Deathstreaks that serve primarily to let the worst players in a room have a big impact on everyone else:
Mackey-IW: death streaks don't kick in until you've died several times, so you're not going to be tearing up the leaderboard with deathstreaks. They're just a great way to get out of a cold snap.
--Removing ability to lean around corners:
Mackey-IW: The game is not balanced for lean.
Seems like their default excuse for removing any feature is whether it's "balanced", which doesn't explain why they included so many perks/deathstreaks/killstreaks which all serve to UNBALANCE gameplay.
