Re: I lol'd...
Pretty sad. I guess we should all prepare ourselves for the inevitability of our PC's being turned into extremely expensive consoles. Way to go, unwashed masses..

Re: I lol'd...
for all you guys that don't have the game and are whining.....it's actually pretty fun. Because our old Modern Warfare server did so well when we put all the mods and restrictions on it......oh wait , it died. Griping about a game you never played is like doing a review on newegg on a piece of hardware you don't own

You've heard of Tier 1 and Seal team Six right?
Were not those guys....were the 16TH.

Re: I lol'd...
I used to be a pretty heavy COD4 player, but just couldn't get into playing it here on TG. Endless Sabotage rounds where I spent most of the time spectating got pretty old.
I found a couple of other servers - TeamGOR and BatteredBastards - where they enforced a crouch-only rule, on multiple map types, and it really slowed the pace down and made it much more enjoyable than the typical run-n-gun you found (and still find).
TG way wasn't "wrong" by any means for me, just not my favorite.

For those people that disliked the old rules on the TG COD servers, you should check out the new rule set. Read it here.

Didn't see your post, Dog, before I submitted mine. You may want to take another look as well. We have a Mixed mode CoD4 server running 24/7 now, along with our CoD5 server that is also mixed mode. We just don't have that arguably retarded crouch only rule.

Re: I lol'd...
Who cares? either way no one plays a game that is actually really really good(the original MW) because we tried to get to restricted with the server (if we didn't then the server would still be going) Look at 2142 same set of rules for years....not extreme rules on where you can be or what route you HAVE to take....and it's still going strong EVERY night of the week. If I am wrong than so be it but I was there and seen the way MW got abandoned when we started getting crazy with the rules.

Re: I lol'd...
My complaint is that they basically took what I enjoyed from the first game and excised it completely from the sequel. I'm not on a PC to play a P2P matchmaking server. I'm not on a PC to experience the joys of a maximum of 18 players in a damn game. I'm also not on a server to be held to the whims of griefers and hackers. IW poured out some major Kool-aid for this one, knowing full well the brand-name would draw in the money no matter what asinine crap they pulled.
Venman: COD4 is still going strong. Perhaps not here, but did that "difficult to use server browser" (IW's words) prevent you from finding any other servers you enjoyed? Now you've bought into a game that is basically impossible to support here at TG in any form.

Re: I lol'd...
You know after I thought about it I'm pretty sure on the MW1 server I played on the max players was 16.... and I always thought that was near perfect for the default map sizes.
Honestly my main problem with their changes are the fact they stripped any way of having a community built around a server. It's just not the same having to play with random people every game.

Re: I lol'd...
I enjoyed the crazy and frenetic 25v25 hardcore matches in most of the other servers. That's gone, so... yeah.
