Re: MW2 is not that bad!
What will be interesting is if they can continue to generate the sales that 4 did (14 million and counting) as CoD4 remains a weekly top 10 seller. Personally, I'm not sure they care and one of the reasons for jacking the price to maximize the return on launch as it would be hard to imagine this game has any legs at all.

Ugh, what did Clod just finish typing.
Don't post or PM that your gonna do anything of the sort in the future.
Just let the piracy thing drop off the radar and don't anyone post they are gonna do illegal activities on this PUBLIC forum.
The gameplay footage looks pretty nice. Hope those that bought the game are enjoying it to the max as your posts allude to.
If anyone gets a tac nuke you better demo that sucker. Cuz I want to see it.

Nuke. Basically a stylish way to end the match quickly, since getting 25 killstreak can be difficult against decent opponents.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Fat chance of that happening unless I get a bunch of you to line up against the wall while I take off each of yer heads with my bling-bling gun.

Remember, it's 6v6 up-to 9v9. Most rounds last 5 minutes if not less. Unless you're freaking great and everyone else are totally sucking, you'll never hit 25 kills in a row. Well, not unless you're cheating your butt off. In which case, don't bother posting a demo. We'll just boo you out of town.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Ah whoops, that guy. No no, those red boxes are present when you view from the skies in a UAV or some other aerial vehicle.
That guy is just darn lucky (or may have been cheating), we don't know for sure.
No red boxes from your first-person POV though. Not unless you're playing on a console or something.Acreo Aeneas

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
It's just lucky. Like he said, pick a long-range weapon, get your Harrier (which acts like a giant rotating turret in the sky), then get your chopper gunner going (easily the most powerful killstreak). If you're on an outdoor map like the one he was playing on, you can rack up a bunch of kills fairly quickly with the chopper gunner.
Plus he was playing Domination, which tends to last longer than just Team Deathmatch.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Get the console version if you have one, Clod. The game's fun. I found it used (already), so if you don't want to pad Activision's wallets on the grounds of principle, go hunting in a Gamestop or whatever equivalent store Canadians have access to.
For what it's worth, this game would be an absolute nightmare on a 50-player dedicated server. The killstreaks are incredibly powerful and it is possible to have more than one going at the same time (I've seen a Harrier, an airstrike, a Predator missile attack, and an AC-130 going at once in one particularly crazy match), although at least you get points for shooting the damn things down now, along with actual equipment to do so (AT4, Javelin, Stinger, etc.). The match-ending tactical nuke would be especially retarded on a packed 50 player server. If you're on a densely-packed, target-rich server (25v25) you could easily rack up a 25 killstreak with Chopper Gunner and bring on the nuke. It'd be retarded.
I thought 6v6 / 9v9 would be ridiculously boring, but even on the gigantic maps (Ruins, I think... it's a map set in some open fields of Chernobyl) it plays really well. I still won't forgive IW for screwing over the PC version with matchmaking garbage... but I can see how the smaller matches balance out the powerful airstrikes and such.
I do, however, miss the mouse-and-keyboard combo.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Correction kills that you get for killstreaks aka Airstrikes or Choppers don't count towards your killstreak. So the only way to earn 25 kills is to use your primary or secondary or your knife or nades.
The game is amazing the only negative part that really makes a difference is the fact that it doesn't have dedicated servers. Other than that I don't see anything wrong with this game.
Also if you don't like the game don't judge it just cause the server issue. If you don't want it keep your comments to yourself. Plus don't commit piracy and publicly announce it on the public forums. But as far as I'm concerned World at War was a worse release than this. Everyone was so hyped up for it's release until they found out how many issues MP had. Also 90 percent of the games I have played on MW2 we have used voice comms. People have mics but never used em on servers that I used to play on WoW and Cod4. Many cool gametypes even one where it prevents clans from teaming up all together. I really don't care about third person view but still I have played it a few times. Ground War is a fun game type especially at 18 players. Also Demolition is fun. There are many good things to this game but people haven't seen it or played it and they assume its bad."Semper paratus, Semper fidelis, Semper validus, Insquequo mortalitas."
"Incoming fire has the right of way."
"Don't die......it's not healthy."

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Sure they do. I've popped someone with a Predator missile and immediately unlocked my Precision Airstrike.
Look at the video I posted a little ways above. He definitely unlocked the nuke by way of mowing everyone down with the Chopper Gunner.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Hawk you are kinda being a hypocrite in your posts. First you tell people to keep their comments to themselves if they don't like Modern Warfare 2, but then go on about how World at War sucks. Next you tell people that if they haven't tried it, then they should also keep their comments to themselves.
Have you ever pirated anything? If not then please don't make baseless assumptions on things that you haven't experienced for yourself. Most people who pirate use the pirated game as a demo. If they like it, they go out and buy the real thing. If they don't, they just uninstall and move on. Most games of today have below average demos for the average gamer to enjoy.
So what do you want them to do, waste money just to see it's a game they don't prefer? Or see them download it, love it, and buy it the next day?
