Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Game looks great i have to admit! I'll eventually check out the SP. Regarding MP our problem is that we're used to playing it on dedicated servers with higher numbers, so this feels like a step backwards for us. But it is a console port and that's how it is. And therefore it probably won't be as popular long term here, but it can still be fun with friends i think.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Last time I checked that is still illegal. I never said World at War sucks. I love that game. The release was dissappointing when everyone saw the flaws it had in MP. I still think WaW had a great SP. MP is great now but the release was highly anticipated and it had problems. I don't think people should make comments about a game they have never played. Don't get me wrong I have done it to games that I have ended up liking. Piracy is still illegal even if you plan to buy the game if you like it. No, I haven't pirated anything because I only buy games that I think I will like or I know I will like if it sucks then oh well.

Awesome Gill, thanks! I figured the 9v9 limit would be fine... I enjoyed Team Tactical on CoD4 on my Xbox360. I'm also happy about the fact that the party chat system is disabled in this game. Yes, I'll be muting more people, but at least I'll be hearing the team players once again!

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
I've had a blast on the 360 version. Much better if you play with people you know on one team, but there are a lot of people willing ot work together.
The Nuke is kind of a disappointment. I have seen it in person once and while yes we over matched the other side, it actually was amazing the guy got the streak. It's more of a "You let me get 25 kills in a row, you deserve to lose" reward. The Care Packages are great, I love randomly getting an AC-130 for 4 kills.|TG-12th| tHa_KhAn

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
I almost kind of hate to say it but the MP of this game is damn fun. I bought the game a week ago. I admit it, I jumped on the anti-IW/boycott bandwagon. I hated the fact they removed dedicated servers. But after playing the game I agree with Hawk in that the only thing that is wrong about the game is not having dedicated servers.
The matchmaking process has been pretty smooth so far. I just click what game type I want or just choose Mosh Pit to mix it up, and the system finds a game for me pretty fast. I think I've only had 2 rounds that had lag. I haven't encountered any cheaters yet. And I've only had 1 host migration that lasted 5-7 seconds.
If anyone still wants to play this game, but continues to hold off out of principle, then I say get over it. I had false indignation. If you didn't know it wasn't a dedicated server that you were playing on, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference as far as the game play goes.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Not sure about TK'ers. I haven't seen that yet.
Second question is most likely no. I haven't played all the maps, but they do seem larger, and from what I can recall about the ones I have played, there's no direct line from one spawn to the other.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
There is no TKing except in Hardcore modes. In all but 1 of the hardcore modes, friendly fire is redirected at the shooter so you cannot TK I believe.
The only issue is the occasional hacker that rolls around.

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
Not to add another redundant thread post (but I'm gonna!).. I was a big holdout on this game..probably because of the "consolized" game play.. The server deal didn't help matters either.. But after hearing raving reviews on the game and knowing what IW and the gang did with Call Of Duty (1 is my fav)..( which I think set the standard for scripted action games..and actually let me feel some type of emotion in a shooter.. ) i jumped on it..
Well, once again the plot and scripted action is just.. WOW!...Once again they have brought a game out that you pokes at you emotionally as you do all of your diiry work. It reminds me of going to a theater and seeing a great movie..just to be disappointed in the end while walking out because it's over..
I won't talk multiplayer just because I won't be there.. but the SINGLE PLAYER is beautiful and if you can, grab it.. just for that..|TG|ARMA Pathfinder
..now where did I put my keys?

Re: MW2 is not that bad!
I enjoyed the single player, it was a fast and furious 4.5 hours.. then it was done. Now it is gone from my machine, like Dragon Rising ... in the pile of ok games. Back to Arma 2.
