    MW2 Hidden DLC?

    Apparently the 12 gig game has either:

    1. Unreleased Content meant to be DLC
    2. Never made it to retail content that just happens to be sitting there

    It all sounds a bit sketchy if you ask me, though the game play modes are somewhat similar to ones that are playable right now in the game.

    Also the word is that IW disabled the console hack today, but hell if I know (or care actually). I still haven't encountered a hacker. But I have seen prestige 10th players.

    Heh.. so, yeah. We could have 3 more game-types, few more maps, dedicated server support, console, lean and who knows what else out of from the box. But, instead, they wanted us to pay for it.

    This is definitely one of the most entertaining game releases of this year. Not because of the game itself, but the eDrama++ it's generating. I love it!

    That is something that has always been part of the COD series They have always had hidden content so to speak that they later use in updates of new maps and such. So really it is not out of the ordinary for them to do it COD MW2. I think people are just reading into to things a little to much in lite of what has happened.

    I actually caught it. Two trojan horse worms in my temporary files folder. My AV popped up and COD6 locked up on me. I had to hit C+A+D to get back to my desktop. Luckily I quarantened them before it did any damage to my files.

    What are the chances of IW and Activision setting this up because they know the PC communities are going to hack the game up since IW knows that with the options they have NOT included in the game will make the game "go to hell". Then we crack the game up and put in servers, finding the DLC for the game and giving it out for free. Sounds like excuses for IW not to make the next installment of CoD for the PC? o_O

    Yeah, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. They don't need an "excuse" to not develop a product, as there is no sort of contractual obligation to developing MW2 (or its sequel) for a particular platform. If they don't want to, they won't.

    That's just what it is though, unfinished content. That's not to say DLC won't actually add to it. Having some left over code, or at best, console commands, isn't indicative of any content already in the game, whatsoever.

    As for the whole lean argument, it's invalid, the maps aren't made the same way they were in COD4. In COD4, crouching meant you were hidden and under cover. You were forced to lean and shoot out of cover, to see around objects. In MW2 maps are made differently. Crouching always has your eye level (and gun level) over the cover, but most of your body is in cover already.

    It's smart game design and game play hasn't hindered in the slightest.
