    Kill streak preferences

    What killstreaks do you use?

    Which are your Favorites? Why

Why do you use your setup?

My initial setup was UAV, Care Package, Harrier
This setup lended itself to begin with

Then I switched to UAV, Care Package, Emergency Air Drop
I liked how care drops gave me Chopper gunners and AC130s but it started being alot of uavs/c-uavs and ammo

My most successful setup is Predator missle, Harrier, Choppergunner
This setup works well together. Get 5 kills and call in missle. You get a quick view of enemy positions and hopefully get 2 kills. If you get a double kill you are already at 7 kills and a well placed Harrier could turn your 7 streak to a quick 11 kill and a chopper gunner.

My current - Although it needs total noobs for this to work I have been trying to get a nuke so: Harrier, Chopper gunner, Nuke. 7 kills without dying is tough but if your team has a few uavs it can be done. If you reach 7 then you have a chance at a nuke. Hide well and work hard with your chopper gunner and hope they dont have stingers and 25-0 is doable. My problems with this setup is a rarely go 7-0 like never. But with the setup above pred, har, chop I went 27-0 and would have had a nuke - Pred only got me 1 kill anyway.

So for me the real dicussion here is do I go back to killstreaks I earn frequently, Uav and care package (about 3 times a match) or do I leave the setup for that one game a week I get a nuke? any thoughts?

    Notes on Killstreaks:
Harriers shot down enemy Choppers and Harriers - this is confimed a harrier shot a Pave Low down in a match last night ( i had seen if fire missles at other harriers but thought it was for show)

Care package kill streak rewards will not add to your kill streak for future rewards - unconfirmed - but this is the major reason for my switch off of them

    Re: Kill streak preferences

I do care package only when I feel I'm not playing well at the moment. Usually I do a Predator -> Harriers -> Chopper Gunner/AC130. (using AC130 right now to get the title/emblem for match winning kill and emblem for 25 AC130 called in. Chopper gunner is usually better though.) EMP/Nuke simply isn't worth it for me as I RARELY get the kills. I had a GREAT game last night were with Pred/Harrier/AC130 I went 23-0 on my first spawn but that's extremely rare and I STILL didn't get the 25 needed for the nuke.

And yes, car package rewards don't count purposefully, it's one of the tips when the game is loading a map. However, as of last I know of, the Pave Low doesn't count either. Unknown wether the Pave Low problem is purposeful or not, imo it's probably not.

I thought that using any kill streak reward does not count towards your kill streak. I know that when I call in a predator strike (5 kills) and kill 2-3 people it doesn't advance me to the next killstreak (7 kills). Am I missing something here?

I rotate my rewards to work toward completing their related challenges, but always keep the actual Care Package on my list. It's like Christmas with each drop!

Forget care packages can be stolen by enemy and your team and don't count for your kill streak onlly thing they're good for is attracting the enemy and then killing them.stick with your nuke streak when u get 1 u won't look back.I've had about 30 or 40 so far.just got my first in free 4 all.

    Re: Kill streak preferences

I've found that killstreaks depend on the game mode.

Regular TDM is better for the stock killstreaks: UAV, Care Package, Pred Missile.

Ground War or Objective-based gametypes that have fast respawns are better for the heavy duty Killstreaks: Harrier, Chopper Gunner, AC130. Just be wary that Chopper Gunner are a lot more easier to kill than AC130s. I've been noticing that they are starting to get shot down the moment they come into play. EMPs are great when you get them in a care package. It kills all of their killstreaks and won't let them call anymore for the next few minutes. It turns off their thermal scopes, Red Dot Sights and Holographic sights. Turns off their HUD and map as well.

    Re: Kill streak preferences

When using a friendly or enemy care package, your kill streak kills are nullified until next death.

So basically, if you want to get a nuke, dont use carepackages or airdrops.

    For nukes I use either:

    Harrier/Pavelow
    ChopperGunner
    Nuke

Otherwise: UAV -> Carepackage -> Airdrop

Even if you get ammo or an EMP?

Yes, even if you get EMP or Ammo. The reason is because both contribute to your kills. If you don't touch your kill streaks and just keep killing, you can still get that Nuke though.

    Re: Kill streak preferences

On more open maps like Wasteland I use 5-Pred missile, 7-Harrier, 8-Emergency airdrop or 11-Chopper gunner.

On CQC maps such as scrapyard I use 3-UAV, 4-Care package, 7-Harrier.

I'm starting to question the care package though. I swear for the last 4 times I've called it in it has always been UAV or C-UAV. Very frustrating!

    Playing BF2142 as:

    -{SXGr}- J0KerRr

    -{SXGr}- x^DeTeR

I'm always open for tips, tutorials and training in the gunship while online, just ask :)

Currently taking a break from MW2, but when I play its as:

    eXileD// DeTeR

Even if you don't consider that I only have 7 days played in the gunship I'm one of the best pilots in the game

I will always accept a 1v1, friendly or not

What kill streaks do you use?

    Care Package
    Emergency airdrop
    attack chopper

I use this setup on most of my kits, the care package and emergency airdrop have given me streak rewards that I otherwise wouldnt have received unless I had a longer killstreak so they prove very usefull

I like harrier > pavelow > ac130. I get good use out of this in domination.

If you are skilled enough you can go pavelow > ac130 > nuke with great results depending on the amount of cover the other team has on the map. I have a friend at prestige 6 who got his nuke emblem very quickly this way without even aiming for the emblem.

    **edit:

Actually, that friend doesn't use pavelow > ac130 > nuke... he told me he did it with harrier > chopper gunner > nuke. Lots of camping and trying to get the 7 for harrier, then a bit of luck and more camping to get to chopper gunner which is where you should get roughly 10 of your kills.
