    Talking stupid steam..

    today i lol'ed the hardest i have ever lol'ed in my life. lol. well it started like this. me and a friend were playing shield bash round with riot shields and one time i shot him with it and he leveld like 2 time just me shooting for 3 minutes.so people do this on xbox i think its called *boosting?* not sure but we did this for days. and finnaly we got max rank. 9th prestige. 70 rank. and 2 days later. lmao... banned.. LOL yeah i know its stupid but we did it legit! :S.. im gonne do somethin! my daddy can.. rofl what ever you do. dont level to fast lmaoo...

    Michael, taking advantage of a game glitch is not "legit" and with the amount of time you've spent with us, I would have thought you knew better. Please reread the primer.

    its not a glitch. everytime someone shoots someone with a riot shield and it hits the shield the riot shield holder gets 50 points..

    so you thought a good idea was to sit for a couple of days and just shoot the shield to level up...... sounds like a wast of time to me

    Its called "shield boosting" and it is the same thing as stat padding, which is not "legit". You spent hours with another player letting each other shoot each other so that the person getting shot could get large amounts of points fast. How is that even remotely fair to the other players who spent their time using the weapons, playing the game, and actually being good at. Something you should think about.
    Whats the Deal with the tiny sig limit?

    Technically, they DID earn it. Padding or not, it took them days of monotonous shield-shooting to get there.

    Regardless, though, it's against the rules.

    ROFL oh man that sucks. But really, i tried boosting with my friend for two matches and it was the most pointless thing i have ever done. We both got the same K/D for the rounds but over all my K/D dropped..... so it failed. Now people boosting in any games is really normal and happens a lot so you wouldn't get banned for it. But boosting for DAYS and getting up to 9th prestige... wow chill dude. Like the one million accounts banned wasn't enough of a warning.

    those 1 million people either used aimbot/wallhack or others or acctually used a rankhack. all we did was use the guns in the game THEY provided for us. were just using them to the limit. and steam has to do with this cause they banned my cd key lol

    I think it's ridiculous that someone could be banned for that. If the game's designed to give you reward for doing something, and you do that thing exclusively, how is that exploiting it? So the developers put their effort into allowing you to do something, and then get upset at you for actually doing it?

    And what's fairness got to do with it? So he spent ages trying to achieve something for himself. Anyone could do that. He doesn't have some innate advantage that enables him to do it at the expense of others.

    Maybe it's because I've never played a game within xbox live's fascist domain, but if someone else wants to dictate to me how I should or shouldn't play my own game, they can go to hell.

    You really don't see stat-padding as wrong?

    Yes using the shield in-game the entire time is great and fine and what it was meant for, but getting with another player and just shooting each other's shields over and over again with the specific intent that you will level up is blatant stat-padding and deserves a ban in my opinion.

    so your saying that its bad for us just to shoot it. but yet i can go do the same thing in a real server. so why not just do it so no one kills us. or i could just go kill people on a server. basicly all were doing is doing 1v1.
